Usually every SDCC exclusive is sold like hotcakes and as long as Mattel get their money, they don't give a damn about scalpers. My wild guess is they accidentally produced too many of their SDCC exclusives so now they allow more people to easily buy these toys, you know "for the fans"....

I need one for my wife, hope I can get it. I've had a lot of success at the HTS post SDCC sales, but have never tried to order anything from mattycollector. I've read nothing but horror stories about their service.
Is there a way to register on the site to have ordering info ready to go?

Hey kinda like how Matty screwed me out my Voltron set, minus the red lion that they wouldn't let me pay for, all bc they didn't update my card which I had 13 months in advance set it up and I DID havr thrm confirm by email (since in 2011 there was no phone line/customer service). Got the Thunderkittens within 1 minute. Unlike the filmation Skeletor nothing sold out 5 minutes after thus far...

*Edit* everything sold out now except the Marionette Doll...

I was placing my order by second 26 and it just kept telling me "there was an error"
Stayed like that until they were sold out...

They are putting some up each day of the sale. I got my Kittens in under a minute. By the time I checked back after I had order conformation everything was marked "Gone Today, More Tomorrow" SO check back each day and they are supposed to have more. Stuff did not sell out they got cut off.

I was logged in 15 minutes early and added the Kittens to my cart within 10 seconds of them being available. I had all my information saved, so I clicked through shipping quickly, put in my 3-digit code from the back of my card, did the captcha, and submitted my order. Well within the first minute of the sale. I'd guess more like 30 seconds. It errored. I tried again. And again. And again. Unknown error, unknown error... for 2-3 minutes until that error was replaced by an out of stock error. I'm so frustrated. Guess I'll try again tomorrow and pray a little louder. Sucks that that's the best chance at getting these for MSRP.

Exactly what happened to me. It's awful to get an error and not know why the heck it is happening! Terrible web page design in my opinion.

I had the same issue as well!

I had everything set up and ready to go beforehand too.

I thought the "error" might have been due to the fact that I changed my shipping address and it now didn't match my billing address, but I guess that didn't have to do with anything at all.

Oh well, here's to trying again in a few hours from now!

I've gotta wonder what made them decide to sell these on their website instead of at the convention first?

Maybe they knew announcing the Thundercats line was being canceled they wouldn't be able to sell off the Kittens? So they decided they better sell them off before the con.
