..."In the end we can only make figures when there are customers to buy them!"
Gotta love when they put these zingers in there for their "customers" |

In the end, I can only purchase figures when there are toy companies willing to make AND sell them. I would buy an unleashed Doomsday and pay a lot of money for it, but would not sub for a bunch of figures I don't want. Mattel charges way too much for MOTUC and DCUC, they've reused the same molds countless times. Oh well a dollar saved...

Yup, I'm no big fan of DC, but I've wanted a good toy of Doomsday since the 90's and would have gladly bought that Unleashed version without a second thought.

They keep shoving that in our faces and half a breath later they wax poetically about how great the Total Heroes line is going to be and we'll love them. Let me be a Harbinger. Total Heroes destiny is written in failure. They try and compete with Hasbro and Marvel Legends by decreasing quality and articualtion when people want more. To me some one at Mattel has this Bass Aackwards. They keep saying 4H deal is over so why is 4H producing the MOTU figures then? They keep blaming us but We aren't the ones that raised the price or Picked lackluster characters or Did good characters the worst way or Thought offering two outcomes would work.

Wait a minute,

Are new Watchmen figures from the upcoming books possible for this line?
At this time no. The line is wrapping up with the 6 figures from 2013. All 4 of the Signature Series figures have been revealed. In lieu of a full year 12 figure sub (due to not hitting the min tier 1 level) we will be releasing 4 Quarterly figures Aquaman, Ice, Superboy and Damian Wayne

Why is everything so Kryptic when it comes to NonMotu lines? By that I mean not getting straight answers and making people wait months to hear yes or no that probably is costing customers in the process
We’ve been pretty straight forward with all your answers above on DC product. Please let us know if there is a specific question fans are looking for info on!

MattyCollector.com Online Store - Products I don't think there was any intentional "pissing on the grave" since they did answer the question. The second sentence just gave the reason why no more Watchmen toys will be made in that line. That format as a whole will be done after the last four they mentioned are released next year. It doesn't necessarily mean no more Watchmen toys period.

I think Honestly Mattel really doesn't know whats going to happen anymore then any of us. I mean they have said "The only way they would produce more DC is if the 5 sell out quickly." Aside from Batzarro these figures sellout. Sometimes in a few Hours, usually in a couple of days. If I was going to place a bet I would say all 5 will sell out.

In the end, customers could justify paying $30 in return for one figure sent to our doors each month only if there are accessories or alternate heads included with the figures offered since MattyCollector fails to control their own manufacturers from selling production overruns on eBay for less than half the retail MSPR with free shipping door-to-door from overseas and product availability months in advance of the formal subscription program. We too would need to have brain damage to justify paying $30 for the same item we can acquire for $6 from eBay. Your box art, delayed availability, horrible logistics partner, and forced "all-or-nothing" subscription model are not worth a surcharge of an additional $24.
Question for next time: Hey, ToyGuru. You and your team suck more than any suck has ever sucked. Why to you and your team suck? P.S. You all suck. |

That Hrothgars is the Meat and Potatoes of it all. In the end this Demand and maybe we'll Supply. Wont work. The next line wont do well and eventually some one at Mattel may see the light. What they Fail to realize is that 63% is now a 63% loss. Let me tell you a good number of that won't buy the crap destined to spew fourth in June when Neitlich's baby sub comes open again. I would say Scott Neitlich and MOTU's fates are intertwined. But I will say this he isn't the "Toy Guru" I laugh when I see that He's the MOTU Guru. I suggest mattel go back and make that Nite-Lik figure an Orange Lantern it would be more correct

why are Movie Master and 4H figures so different? Hasbro has taken to using one main line for both. Marvel Legends did an Ironman 3 and is going to do Captain America 2 and Spiderman 2 line(s). You did 1 figure (G'Nu) and the Public Enemies along those lines.

Q. Dear Mattel for your multiverse line.. is the plan to give us one wave of each universe and move on to the next or, is completing certain universes a priority? I myself would want more Arkham Asylum characters..

Why Mattel doesn't use 4H for everything could be due to a number of reasons. One is the additional cost to pay them on top of all the manufacturing costs. Another would be Mattel probably has way too much product for 4H to handle the workload. Or maybe 4H is not willing to take on that kind of a workload. Now that I think about it, didn't Matty or 4H announce 4H will no longer be sculpting DC products for Mattel? If so, then technically Mattel will be doing the same thing as Hasbro now.

they said something along the lines of 4H will continue to produce MOTU figures but not DC... So they have the ability to produce the figures through them but because they want More people to make lie promises to then were willing to take a chance. Mattel is going to stop making good figures in 6 inch and produce a 5th kids line and lose the 6 inch adult market in DC figures by being run by Forrestt Gump
