Todd McFarlane took to social media this afternoon to revealed a new Spawn figure for 2022. The figure uses the MK11 Spawn body but features a new deco, cape, and chains. No word on whether this figure will be part of his Spawn line or another addition to the Mortal Kombat line.

Thanks for the heads up. I was offline most of yesterday. Front Paged.
This is pretty cool. I checked the MK11 skins, didn't see that brooch style, but it is very close to the first Spawn fig and the Kickstarter. So may not be a MK11 branded fig even tho it's using the body. The cross is the same design as the Year Two Batman, but it's upscaled I think. Either way if something like this drops I'll take it! |

nice! I'm in for this one. I like my MK11 Spawn but I really was hoping for something more classic what with the release of Raven Spawn and Gunslinger Spawn. Now I really hope for a new Medieval Span.

Well it's really just another variant. Probably good some some who wants red/black and couldn't get the old releases. They have certainly got a TON of mileage out of this mold. I remember when it was announced as a Walmart exclusive right before the Covid Times.

Wasn't there talk awhile back of Todd doing another kickstarter in 2021? I guess that got delayed. Any update on those plans? Or is he just going to focus on retail releases since it seems to be doing good?

Considering the rest of the look (big boot and spiked gauntlet) he shouldn't have any red on the body.

Maybe they'll just copy what they did for the Color Tops Spawn and do a version with the red underfill and a maskless hamburger head as a Target exclusive (RIP Toys R Us).

Despite a lot of reuse… this is a very welcome figure! This mold is very articulated! And anyone with the kickstart figure can tell you, is that man oh man, that figure is awesome but still didn’t have the full articulation. (At least I know on mine the arms don’t move/pose much and that neck/head is not great). This solves some of those issues.

Yeah that's NOT the classic look for Spawn.

It's not his original but I think it's fair to consider this look classic since he's had it since '95 with only minor variations over time.

Cool. Now maybe I can find a normal Spawn for less than $50. Hope he at least comes with the axe.

Since this seems to be a comic-oriented release he'll probably only include necroplasm effects and/or guns.

Hope it has the option for switching to unmasked. Maybe ectoplasm and something with the chains and cape. |

Dunno if other forum members collect Spawn figures, but this appeared at my local Target today.

That is a fantastic figure. He's already in the running for my 10 favourites list.
