Yeah, agree on both counts. But also, Funko did some nice Legacy figures for GOT that failed. I know there was a lot of QC issues with them, but they apparently didn't sell well either.

Yeah the last season for the TV-series ruined it. Doesn't help GRRM hasn't pushed on with the next book either.
But for me seems "the powers that be" think when it comes down to an "adult" tv series should cater to making action figures for adult collectors. Detail, QC, and features are a must, but they deemed the 1/4-1/8 scale to be what adult collectors want especially from this genre. The 1/10-1/12 are for the "kids."

add Dark Knights Metal to the list of things I am sick of Mcfarlane making figures off. Anothre DKM wave was announced I think its the 3rd or 4th wave he has done.

Yeahhhhhh, y'know, I defended all these Batman variants as I was hoping it'd mean we get some really cool stuff later down the road, but c'mon.... Darkseid Batman? Mad Max Superman? Batman as the Crow with a guitar? I'm sure someone will buy them, but it just seems like fanwank at this point

Death Metal has been great- I think it's been a better story than Dark Knights even if it gets a little (OK a lot) too corny sometimes with the bat variations. Dark Knights Metal was a huge success for DC so of course they had to follow it up to try and save the comic line from ATT's axe- but I doubt anything could have worked to save them. And based off the monologue in New Gods (and I hear Teen Titans had the same thing going on) then DC Comics is over and done. I really hope Death Metal isn't the true end for DC but the writing on the wall (or page) sure implies that it is...

I'd honestly be fine with no new stories if they did something like doing cheap reprints for 5 bucks or single issues for a dollar and just printed stories from their 80+ years of backlog. Maybe down the road they could even do new stories, but as it stands I'm pretty over DC, as long as the wrap up DCeased nicely.

I'm tired of this theme now.

Hopefully Batman Earth One vol 3 sees a release.

I think this whole "death metal" Batman thing is dumb as hell, but I can't lie--I think that WW is looking pretty sexy and I see myself succumbing to buying it. Still hope that when Todd comes off of his death metal headbanging narcissistic wank high that we will eventually get more than one or two "regular" DC figures a year...

Did Todd not get the memo that he can do other DC characters other than the big 3?? So glad I don't collect in the 7' scale.

At the very least, that Wonder Woman figure is very striking.

She's using it to disassemble the Invisible Jet in the 1st issue of Death Metal. She uses it later to kill ..... (a character)

Me too, and on that note, I love the head sculpt for Death Metal Batman.
