That batman should come with an alternate deathklok lead singer unmasked head.

He will, but that will be a whole different figure you’ll have to buy. I think we have established that’s Mcfarlane’s MO, EVERY figure’s a build-a-figure. Want Death Metal Batman with scythe, guitar and an alternate head? Buy 3 figures!

That BAF looks more like Batman in a gimp suit.

BDSM Batman.

kinda like that Wonder Woman. Superman looks like he belongs in a 90s grunge band.

Hopefully this is the last of the Dark Knights Metal and other strange Batman alternate universes and we get more classic looking designs going forward.

Would it kill Todd to take a break from Batman WW and Superman for a bit.

How about some more DCTV Characters or a new Constantine Zatanna and Swamp Thing .

Lobo Martian Manhunter Jonah Hex Question etc some other DC characters for a change

So sick of the lack of diversity in Todd's DC line so far. His massive hard-on for Batman at this point is ridiculous.

I just don’t think we will ever see a “DC Universe Classics” type of line out of any one again. These Batman and Superman figures sell like freaking crazy. That is all retail cares about. Quick sales. No interest in building a world of DC again, just that guaranteed sale of the big guys.

This is where Funko Pop does better than the figure guys. They make so many of DC's characters to get your hands on. I mean recently they released Deadman and The Spectre of all people.

Funco Pops have more of that Collect'em All mentality to them. And probably cost less to make than these figures.

DC merch anymore seems to be just Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, some Wonder Woman (because the movie), some Superman, more Batman villains and allies, and maybe an occasional somebody else NOT Batman related because they were in one of the movies.

They haven't made any effort to make Cheetah or Maxwell Lord, you can count on one finger the non-Batman villains made or in the works (IJ2 Grodd), and even popular characters like Supergirl, Raven, Green Lantern, etc. seem to be no shows.

Maybe it's because it's so easy to just keep reusing Superman and Batman parts?

There was a now deleted video interview with a member of the brand team who discussed this. He very strongly implied a lot of the character selection comes down to retailers and the WB/AT&T execs wanting more Batman and Trinity stuff because those are the ones perceived as the big DC moneymakers.

IE, it's not like Marvel Legends, where the Marvel brand is so red hot that retailers will order a bunch of characters most people have never heard of as long as there's a Marvel logo on the box. DC doesn't have that same level of trust or brand positivity right now, so what gets made is mostly the A-listers and maybe whoever has a movie or TV show out at the time.

Wonder Woman looks the best out of the bunch. Batman looks to be the same one that's out. Superman is okay. Robin looks bad.

The BAF design looks ugly as sin.

I saw the point made recently that Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's work on Batman has been one of the few note worthy things at DC in recent years. That's part of the reason why McFarlane has focused on Metal, Last Knight on Earth, and Death Metal. Now that those stories have been covered by McFarlane, people are hoping that Infinite Frontier will be what we see next in the Multiverse line.

Batman again, what a surprise. Supes looks out of place for a superhero rock band. Dark Father looks like shit.

Interesting line, looks to be accurate enough to the comic. I agree with previous comments. Considering theres Suicide Squad 2, new Batman film, and that new Gotham Knights video game on the horizon I am less hyped especially with some of the recent stuff produced.
Side note, that Superman though looks like an easy retool to make a decent Lobo.

As much as I like Batman, where's the rest of the DC Multiverse? Where's the Justice Society, the Legion of Doom and the League of Assassins? Where Jonah Hex? Where's Shazam? Where are supporting characters like Lois Lane, Alfred and Lucius Fox? Where's the henchmen, goons and gang members? Wheres the wider representation of other DC media such as the DCAU / DC animated films, the various live action TV series that have come out over the past few years and the plethora of films that have preceded them? Damnit - where are the characters besides Batman, Superman, Robin and Darkseid?

Don't expect other characters since McFarlane's too busy making 1,964,321 iterations of Batman. I already echoed in another thread that this line should have been renamed to "Batman and the DC Universe."

Heads up ! amazon us is active now for 24$retail preorder on this wave.
Mandarin spawn went up on Amazon retail 19.99 $ recently also.
I've been real impressed how much mcfarlane is rolling out .I'm not getting every variant just the ones I'm feeling.but if I have some extra money I'll probably buy variant stuff just to support mcfarlane . He got me back into DC with these figures .

Gotta agree with you there man. I have plenty of Batman figures. Why can't I have the entire animated Teen Titans set Todd?? Cyborg isn't enough! D*ck.
