We should make a thread dedicated to action figures in Michael Jackson poses, LOL!

Aye, but I fear it would get hijacked by unpleasant and misinformed people who refuse to check actual facts and legal documents rather than tabloid bull.

Has Todd ever actually asked what people want, regarding the eyes?

Batman was one only dc direct I didnt have already so im glad Mcfarlane is making this wave.
Hmmm that production photo looks like its still unpainted in particular the mouth/teeth .the face likely is going to have more paint for a final product.
I dig Zombies so im bit biased .

The recent shartimus interview with Mcfarlane he talks about being aware recently fans were vocal about not liking the side eyes so he said he was going to dial it back in the future. He listens and responds pretty honestly.
I dont see crosseyed figures by Mcfarlane that people are mentioning?? rarely do i get a paint misprint on the face sculpts. unlike hasbro which I have alot marvel legends with misprinted face paint.

Aye ok but the eyes have been such a jarring and significant issue I feel like he should asked before he did it. He really didn't have enough awareness that it would be an issue. Or could have at least tried doing including alternate heads with those while the default head had normal eyes. But then Todd likes saving alternate heads for selling the whole figure all over again separately so eh...

Yeah your right I dont think he realized it would be an issue.
I dont like side eyes myself .
The solution to the problem indeed would be for mcfarlane to have 2 heads included . Im thinking to save cost using ( same sculpt) but with diff eye paintings. one regular forward stare and second with side eyes or whatever.
Then he can keep the second different head sculpt for variant/ chase releases still. I wonder how much a second repainted head would really cost minus more sculpting ?
A third different head sculpt would work also but that mean another mold tooling so more cost. how much are we willing to pay additionally for more options?

Deathstorm will go great with TV Flash, since it seems like he might be in the new season

Based on the Batman face sculpt, I hope Superman and Deathstorm get the same treatment. Don't do a crazy extreme side eye or a "I smelled something weird Superman Dark Knight Returns face". Make it "Neutral" but disgusting looking.

Talk about timing -- Death Storm is now a character on The Flash TV show. There's even mention of "blackest night".

So Deathstorm is on Flash and it's not a CW esque suit, it's a CGI version of the comic outfit. Despite my dislike of CW CGI. This would be like Godspeed.

Maybe he will come with a black brain instead of a ring?

I thought DC readers learned after The Death of Superman arc that Supes (Kryptonians by extension) doesn't decompose quickly due to his cells continuing to absorb solar energy post mortem.

Whoops. Guess somebody should fire up the hotub time-machine and let Geoff Johns know.

Maybe because it "shoots" after people that it's considered a gun and this a No Go.

Maybe Earth 2 Supes has a different biological makeup

I think some people may be pulling in BVS regarding kryptonian bodies.

Death of Superman

Superman was only dead for like a minute. His was brought back to life but left in a deep coma that probably would have killed him if his body hadn't been put into the regeneration matrix.

So until Kandor was brought back years later, they've never had Kryptonian body to study for decomposition. Maybe you can count Conner but his body was snatch up quickly by the Legion.

Also the black lanterns zombie face is just part of the Black Lantern process. Even people killed like a minute prior(Hawkman/Hawkgirl/Tempest,Captain Boomerang 2) had a severely decomposed look. They could also look normal until they wanted to up the terror.

It's not actually the bodies decomposed state prior to the black lantern process.

You are right, he didn't actually stay dead that long and the Black Lantern process isn't traditional zombie...but it is in presentation.

I tried to concoct a memory that rationalized my dislike for the design, which is where I am with this supes look. The toy is fine in its representation.
