No. It wasn't trolling. Dude memed me. I responded. That's how forums work. As for "being a jerk" yeah that CLEARLY wasn't all me.

Probably let it go. Seems everyone else has.

SDCC reveals!

Whirlybat vehicle

Reverse Flash, Flash variant, Thomas Wayne Batman

Flash looks darker, with the same upper body as the first release on top of new thighs with the improved stance we're seeing on newer figures (Aquaman aside) and some sculpted brief details. Reverse Flash seems to have the same construction with only a new head, same as the leaked proto pictures from a while back. Thomas Wayne appears to mostly be the wave 1 Hush Batman.

Estrela Batman, New 52(?) Superman, Tim Drake Robin variant, '90s Nightwing

The black variant of the classic Batman that just came out is an homage to the Brazilian company Estrela that released a Super Powers Batman in black for the '89 movie. Tim is simply a darker colorway of the existing version with a black cape. Nightwing's sculpt looks the same just with a better stance (new thighs?) and new paint scheme. I can't speak to how much of Superman is new, mine is packed away.

Every full wave has had a $20 vehicle and a $30 vehicle, so I'm excited to see what the bigger, badder counterpart of the Whirlybat is gonna be!

To me anyway, SP Batman in black will always be the figure pictured on the back of the toybiz cardback and magazine ads.

Oh snap, yeah! Then Kenner paid it forward by using a modded Toy Biz Batmobile in their solicitations for the DKC Batmobile. I'd been trying to get decent Estrela and Kidz Biz/Bikin Batmans for my collection so they've been on the brain.

I'm digging that black Batman and Rebirth Superman. Thankfully, it's not the abominable New 52 version. Looks like there's also an improved headsculpt.

The gold flash and gold Batman are not on Amazon or BBTS. They are on mcfarlane site and Entertainment Earth. Any thoughts on those two not showing everywhere?

Anyone know what the blue and grey Batman is on the BBTS homepage?

Well I ordered from Todd’s store for the gold versions. Man would I have loved the Batman on an old Kenner Dark Knight Collection card though.

Edit.

Todd has got to do something about that shipping. The coupons do almost nothing to bring that in line with other stores. His shipping stops me from ordering so much more.

Is the fandom still bitching about these Super Powers figures or have they settled on acknowledging how dope they are?
Cape issues and all.

I hope so. Sadly though, toy nerds are mostly miserable pricks with delusions of "expertise" or some shit, and can't help but bitch and nitpick. My theory is that this is because they're convinced they could do it better/"right" (toys, movies, TV, comics) if only they were given the chance. Problem is they know nothing about the realities of modern business/manufacturing/material costs/laws/supply chains/retailer support/etc, and what bringing products to market actually entails. The only thing I bitch about is Walmart (or anyone else) not stocking Black Manta and Reverse Flash yet.

That said, I love 'em all, but I chose to only buy Hal & Sinestro off Amazon. I just don't have the room to be a completionist (completeist?) so I only buy the shit I really dig.

The complaints I've seen...character selection, tag through superman's cape, not in scale with the kenner figs (which I still dont know if they corrected since I still dont have my 3 pack) are well warranted. Not really sure what else there is for people to complain about.

The first figures were bigger but now they are in line with the 80’s super powers size.

I still can’t find anything on the classic Batman in the bbts pic. Looks like the Adam west scale for sure.

Like anything there are valid complaints.
I just don't think that not liking something because it doesn't come from an alternate timeline where Kenner is still making these figures is a valid complaint.

The capes are definitely worth criticizing.
But they were not worth 10,000,000 comments regarding the third figure that suffers from the cape problem.
At some point the person buying them knows the capes are janky (technical term).

The capes have improved with every wave. They're still not Kenner quality, but at this rate they'll be there in a couple of waves. The sizing has largely been corrected, and the sculpts have gotten more accurate, too. This line rocks.

I think that Green Lantern is cool enough to get an Ethan Van Sciver autograph.

I guess mystery solved on that Batman figure. McF are reusing the '66 Batman molds for animated Filmation figures.
