I do want this, but man I wish it wasn't week after week after week of preorders on their site. If they weren't all pay up front it'd be different/easier. Like I'm glad they're doing them, but a little room to breathe would be nice.

Wait. Just the playset is $150 or playset and accessory set together?

It's a picture of their TMNT set up from Toy Fair, Raphael was in a different part of the display.

My wallet definitely can’t handle both this and the accessory pack 😞

Slow down please, NECA!

Ouch. They are really grabbing here. Another $200 plus shipping tomorrow for both items. Woof. I have the first 2 playsets, so I’d hate to miss this. But all those hasbro exclusives are going live at the end of the month.

Fact is. This is a great looking playset and very necessary for the toon series. I need to think on this.

Yup, need this. Looks great. And as Comedian said, necessary for the toon turtles. The antenna and billboard add a lot to the look of this thing.

100%. It's funny, it sounds like we're complaining after Neca has made great strides to fix the issues of availability for all these figures. I mean, I guess we are complaining a bit, but there's no denying the deluge of pre-orders are tough to keep up with. It would be great if they offered some sort of solution to help out with those heavy shipping costs.

I like the dio, but I'll probably skip it. Just don't have the room for a 3rd version and I doubt I'd use it beyond the initial photo gallery.

I don't get the 150 price tag when the other set was less and was sold at retail, so there was a markup. This is sold directly om NECA, so I don't get the price hike when it's basically the same set with a couple of extras.

Seems like NECA went from 0 to 60 with their releases being available. First you couldn't find them anywhere, now every week there are pre-orders. Hopefully this is just them making up ground and they can slow down and space these out.

I hear you. But man this just fits the toon stuff so well. Now that they do preorders on stuff my wife wanted us to jump back in. But 3 of these is rough.

I use the first one from the movie turtles sdcc set for all neca turtles. But with movie expanding, I need the space for all the movie figures.

The second set I use for my movie avengers.

I already filled the space I had for more neca toons so this will be rough. But, damn that thing looks gorgeous with the toon turtles Displayed on it. Plus you just know neca will do some sewer set that attaches underneath this set.

As for the price increase, the tower and sign are new plus this has way more going on with it than the other 2. $30 more? I don’t know.

Any word if bbts or other etailers are getting this?

I have the standard diorama on pre-order at BBTS for $110. Shipping will cost $4 or less considering it might ship with other stuff.

This one cost $40 extra plus whatever ridiculous shipping NECA will charge. I paid $28 shipping for a Super Shredder.

And yet I'll still probably buy it. Only have a week to decide or you might never see it again.

The “might never see it Again” part is what does it for me. No a days, you can’t sit out on anything. All this stuff seems to stay with collectors.

I have the standard release one from last year. Easily one of the best purchases I’ve made in the past few years. Very versatile for display and photographs.

The cartoon look of this is somewhat limiting, but only if you show the skyline. Bricks look fine.

This is awesome... the previous release had nicer colors though IMO... the darker night look worked better for Spider-man scenes.

Could anyone tell me what the exact height dimensions are for each level, including the skyline background? Width too?

I'm hoping to line up each level horizontally...I may be able to buy 2 and have them all lined up...maybe 3 could work lol

Would anyone be willing to line them up horizontally and take picture so we could see what that looks like??

^ There's reviews on youtube of the old one.

^ For this one he measures it at the 13 minute mark... does it in inches though.

The down fall was the rounded corner on the side walk. Even just covering up the yellow line the curves would do wonders for having 2 side by side.

I never noticed that. Not a fan. I can see why they did it but that was an oversight. Of course people are going to be buying multiple of these and stacking them right next to each other. For fans who buy one wouldn't care either way about a rounded corner.
Little late to see a fix on that one. Still looks good for sure. I think I have to get it either way.

Wasn't there some talk or speculation a while back about Neca releasing add on pieces for the diorama? It'd be really awesome to get the broadcast tower and the billboard without having to buy this set.

A shipping date wasn't announced yet for the dio.
