Exciting. I collect masterverse, it’s fun but the sculpts and proportions are just not there for me. I get the likeness must be an issue but that He-man head makes me cry.

Again, Masters of the Universe classics continues to prove why it commands so much on the secondary. Masterverse is the lesser son.

I'm fully invested in Masterverse, but I'll be passing on these as I have the Classics. Pretty cool for those who missed out on those, but it's not fair to compare the two to one another.

Right now there is a thriving market of customizers making wonderful headsculpts and accessories for the Masterverse line, so I'm sure it won't be long until some pretty awesome pieces start showing up for those who want to improve on these. The Skeletor is passable...but that (not Lundgren) He-Man likeness is laughably bad.

I missed out the first time from Super 7 I think. But I’m definitely getting these, I like how Dolph has his gun too, something missing from the other release

I’m about 14 Masterverse figures deep at this point, I really wanted a highly articulated MOTU collection, I missed out on MOTU lines of the past and I’m not really into the origins style, so I thought Masterverse would be perfect for me, but I continue to be underwhelmed with each purchase, the face sculpts are dull and in some cases just awful, the paint work leaves a lot to be desired as well. I’m still on the fence on if I should abandon this line altogether. I just want MOTU figures with a little effort behind them that won’t break the bank.

Just going to get Skeletor for this set. I passed on the Classics versions (I was not a big fan of the movie designs), but have softened my feelings towards Skeletor. Also he'll be cheaper.

I find it's quite the reverse. Both Masterverse and Classics have somewhat inhuman proportions, but I'll take the elongated, El Greco-esque dimensions of the Masterverse figures any day of the week over the short-armed, squat, dumpy Classics, with their ever-increasingly ill-fitting torso overlays and their too-tall female figures. Masterverse all the way, baby.

I prefer the Classics versions here, too, but aren't the aftermarket prices on Classics actually going down on a lot of the figures?

That He-Man headsculpt isn't great, but it will cost me less than half a Classics figure does and it isn't half as bad so I'll get them.

I hated the movie as a kid, still don't like the movie today. I do respect the behind the scenes making of the movie though. I have the Classics version of these. I think I'll get these too.

Some are just disgustingly high in price. A couple of the power con 3-packs are almost $2000. The fact so many missed out on classics is beyond sad. All toys are way over priced and I keep waiting for the “bubble” to pop on them….it just doesn’t seem to happen.

Classics should have been reinvented with new articulation to fit in with the original series. The attraction to motu has always been the fact they were bulky figures compared to other lines. Like I said, I collect all masterverse and I enjoy them, but the plastic feels cheap, the sculpts are soft on most at best and they are not anatomically correct. Posing them seems awkward. Granted, when posing classics I always want more articulation but it’s not that constricting.

At the end of the day, classics is way over priced and most can’t collect them….they were just produced in to low of numbers. Masterverse has up sides and I’m truly excited to get these film figures. I may look in to that customized head that I’m sure is coming.

I just really beyond hope the film figures make it to origins. My biggest issue as a kid was no ghostbusters movie figures and no he-man movie figures….save the 3 that did come in 1987. Getting origins film figures will complete a childhood want. Now that is priceless.

To this day I haven't bought a single Masterverse yet. They feel off somehow especially the headsculpts lacking detail and look too small.
I did pick up Origins here and there for my kids especially Castle Grayskull recently on Target's clearance.

These new Masterverse Movie figures are cool with the exception of He-Man's headsculpt. (NECA's Ivan Drago from Rocky VI is the best Dolph Lundgren) I most likely pick these up in the hope we get most of the movie cast including: Detective Lubic, Kevin Corrigan, Julie Winston, Gwildor, Saurod, Blade, Karg and the movie versions of Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, Teela, Man-at-Arms, The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull and maybe Pigboy.

I collected MOTUC since December 2008 and continued into Super7. They still wow me when I look at the display. I have the Movie/"William Stout" Collection as well but it still feels so incomplete without Lubic, Kevin, Julie and the movie versions...

Neca Drago...eh, promo pics were ok but the likeness on the actual figure looked a little weird. I can see what they were going for but still weird. Mr. T was the best likeness in that line by far.
I dont think theyre going for a likeness here in this case. But whatever, im not a fan of masterverse anyway...ugly sculpts and proportions.
