Depends. When it was originally up the preorder date was June.
Seems strange to have a preorder up this early and not in at least late fall.

I'm thinking either they will make the June release or show in late summer.

They are decently larger than the regular figures but charging twice as much does not seem justified here. McFarlane's recent 12" offerings are $40 a pop so it's reasonable to think these should have fallen more in the middle ($30 to $35 range).

When an Amazon order says that the release date is the first of a month and it’s several months out, the date is just a place holder.

Does anyone else think that Aquaman looks like Joaquin Phoenix cosplaying as Jason Momoa?

Oh my...it has begun!

Glad to see Mcfarlane is offering Darkseid and Steppenwolf as Mega and 39.99 each is a nice price for what they are.

Waiting for the rest of the League!

I actually like that Darkseid design (white eyes aside). But can't stand the fact that his armor isn't removable. We have to buy an entirely different figure for that option. McFarlane is really bad about that kind of stuff. Marvel Legends figures at a lower pricepoint include all kinds of crap. If we want an unmasked head (or armored chest) on a DC Multiverse figure we have to buy a store exclusive.

That Batman looks more like Todd himself than it does Affleck.

So I paid $24.99 for a similar size (and detailed) Marvel Select Endgame Thanos but it's $39.99 for Darkseid?

I get the feeling these things are gonna pegwarm bad. Especially shirtless Darkseid.

Just because Darkseid looks "different" doesnt mean that its not gonna sell... I'm surprised but it is #1 at amazon followed by Steppenwolf at #3...so. IMHO, they are not bad, so some may like it some may not...lets see how it plays out... i PO'd...

Supply and demand.
The next Darkseid is a storm collectables at a much higher price. Though once shirted Darkseid goes up, I forsee folks switching. Though a shirtless version is custom fodder.

Now put 20 of these in a Target, yeah they will stick around. Keep the numbers sensible and no.

Nothing is wrong with the industry its the same really. DC isn't as popular as Marvel. Top 3 characters might be even, but 4-20, Marvel will have more fans. For the toy collecting, I know a ton of people who will never buy the premium high priced stuff so these characters will still be bought. Obviously great quality and well-executed figures will sell better and be in high demand with higher markup in after-market.

Even with the HD pics still slightly interested in only 2 of them. Aquaman does look like a wrestler (bit of Rollins and McIntyre) and I totally understand now why they changed the Steppenwolf design since this is the original concept. Armor would look odd, its like they decided to use a ton of staples.

Still hoping the movie (an original extended cut in essence) would have some improved storytelling...looking forward to see how much of an improvement.

Another day and another Mcfarlane figure has the first place as #1 best seller on Amazon, today the honours goes to Mcfarlane Batman Beyond with Darkseid as second.

No doubt Mcfarlane is doing a great job.

Still waiting for the rest of the Snyder's League.

It's not hard to win a foot race against kindergartners, a lot of what makes you #1 depends on your competition. Are there any other company releasing any comic/movie based toys yesterday or today? No? Well, that's why McFarlane's been #1.

Amazon sales are great, but in big box stores they're going to be wasting away. IF they can even get on the pegs with all the gold WW wasting away.

I don't think DarkEyes is listening, he can't stop gushing how he has a major hard-on for McFarlane right now.

That Superman is the first hope I have seen that this line might be alright. I’m still beyond disappointed with the showings to date but I hope it’s more to do with bad pics rather than bad sculpts.

The headsculpt looks fine but, I think it's apparent Mcfarlane should probably upgrade to digital face printing when it comes figures based on real people.
