After weeks of teasing, McFarlane has finally revealed the first full wave of Spawn figures. According to McFarlane, preorders for these will open soon.

Hopefully violator has better articulation than the statue shown. Raven spawn looks pretty sweet.

For some additional information, PreviewsWorld.com lists an August 25th release date for all figures. Standard figures will cost $24.99. Deluxe figures such as the Clown will cost $39.99. And mega figures such as Violator will cost $49.99.

The figures have also shown up in Target and Gamestop store systems. The prices at each appear to match those listed on PreviewsWorld.com. DPCIs for Target are:

Spawn 7” - DPCI# 323 01 9900
Redeemer - DPCI# 323 01 7024
Mega Violator - DPCI# 323 01 3362
Deluxe Clown - DPCI# 323 01 4952

For $40 I'm assuming Clown will come with a ton of accessories and alternate parts. Also I understand that classic lanky Violator would definitely have stability issues as an articulated figure, and probably breakage issues too, but I am not liking buff Violator. Part of the character's appeal for me was his unnatural appearance, he had spindly limbs but a huge head so he looked emaciated which was in contrast to his actual demon strength. This new design looks too much like a Pinky from Doom.

I always used to think that Clown and Violator were one character, but as I got older and more into the comics I understand that they are not. These are cool figures.

Clown and Violator are the same character. The Clown is just Violator's human disguise/punishment.

I think Violator does have some articulation going on. It's not traditional double jointed everything etc, but it's more than old school McFarlane ever was. It reminds me of the single joint styles used on DC Multiverse Devastator and larger figures.

Didn't mark them all, assume there will be some head movement, maybe butterfly action at the shoulders. One foot has the heel off floor, so it may have a toe bend too.

McFarlane still doesn't have rights to do a new Angela figure right? It's too bad these are in 7" scale and the Marvel Legends version of her won't fit in with them

Apparently in the comics Violator changed into what is called "Demon Violator" thus the horns curling forward instead of out to the sides and the more massive body, That is what this figure is as to represent his Current form. Will still need to see him in person to justify the 50$ price. As well as Clown to justify 40$ for a figure that is half the size of the 25$ ones.

More than likely he will NEVER get the rights back to Angela. Gaiman won the rights case and then sold the rights to Marvel ( and thus Disney). SOoooo if we see anyone in the Angels camp it will probably be Tiffany since she was created to replace Angela in the first place.

Thanks McFarlane hasn't used Violator that much in the recent Spawn issues over the last three years. That's what I've been reading.

Oh I definitely want that Violator. He'll fit right in with the 4 inch Spawn I've got in the works.

Violator's looking a lot chunkier than his original incarnation.

I wish you could order two Violators and get the discount, I'm really only interested in that one for a big monster to have.

Here's a little frugal shopping tips for all of you. That discount applies to multiple orders.

Example: Put in Violator, Redeemer and Gunslinger, subtotal comes to $99.97, discount of $28.75 (with Red Card 5% discount), I paid $75.49 for all 3.

Only want Violator? If you don't mind a little walking, place that same order, then when you get the shipment, return the Redeemer and Gunslinger, you'll get 1/2 ($37.75) back, that means you paid $37.75 for Violator (25% off).

The discount applies to many other things as well. I just reordered the set of AoA X-men, got the $25 off, then went and canceled my previous order.

Thanks for the heads up / idea Cyclopswc. I just cancelled my Hasbro Pulse AOA preorders and preordered them from Target with the $25 off. Score!

I agree with every word that you said. I am NOT liking Pinky Violator either.

As a figure on its own I kind of like how this Clown came out but I don't care for his big weaponized backpack, though it is a fun callback to his second figure. I'll wait and see if I can catch him on a sale down the road.

So Gunslinger's a Target exclusive now? Just great. Target has been the bane of toy collectors lately.

Gunslinger has been up almost all day and can still be pre ordered. Clown and Violator are pre sold out.

I want to know where the black and silver Redeemer is going to be?? Some say Platinum Chase variant, some say Gold Label Wal Mart exclusive??? I hope the latter as I want 2 to flank regular Redeemer as Angelic backup.
