Warhammer 40k? $19.99 each? Count me interested.

For that price, I don't expect anything nearing perfection, but so far the proto looks decent enough. I assume McFarlane likes $ so he'll release repaints with slightly different accessories and heads like crazy. If he advertised the line in any small way, this could be a line to watch. Pre-heresy Legions. Post-heresy chapters. Multiple different marine specialties and ranks, followed by specific champions and villains. With the success of the marine figures, we could see orks, necrons, and 10 other factions.

I hear the imperial sound of fan-boy wallets opening and cards sizzling.

The Emperor collects!

Harry Potter is probably dead too after just one wave, judging by its lack of presence at Toy Fair too. Sigh....

Games Workshop said McFarlane isn't just making Space Marines, too. I'd love to see a 6" genestealer.

Thank you, this!! My thoughts exactly.
And what a huge disappointment, especially since this line is just beginning. You’d think Todd would be smart enough to take cues from Hasbro and introduce say a comic Wonder Woman, comic Cheetah, and maybe JLU/DCAU Wonder Woman since the movie’s coming out, but no, just two very bizarre sculpts that look more like Lynda Carter than Gal Godot...

Is there a McFarlane DC panel?

Supposedly they're also releasing a non-color version at the same price for people to customize their Space Marines. Time to make my pink & white Hello Kitty chapter a reality.

Thinking it may be abandoned. Bethesda has done a really good job at turning that franchise to dust with 76. That and all the shenanigans with Fallout merchandise helmets that went mouldy, bottles of Nuka Rum falsely advertised, garbage duffle bags instead of the canvas one etc. That said, $20 power armor sets would be fantastic. Even if the articulation is not the best i'd love to have a stack setup like a hall of armor just like i have in game. Power armor would be an easy win for McFarlane. They could re-use the same armor sets over and over again with SDCC, NYCC and other exclusive variants. 1000 Toys has one but there's is going to be 5 times the cost. It's likely going to be a better product overall but at 5 times the price it's going to be hard justifying a large collection.

Is it just me or do they abandon stuff often? I got excited when they did their initial Game of Thrones line, but they never released any other characters.

Yes, they are just as bad as DST when it comes to doing "one and done" waves for a new figure line and giving up too quickly when sales aren't meeting their high expectations. DST killed X-Files and Pulp Fiction after just one wave, so we'll never get the full main cast from those properties, and now it's looking like Tron is dead after one wave too with DST. For McFarlane, the same is happening with Star Trek, Game of Thrones, and probably Harry Potter. It really makes me reluctant to trust these two companies and bother buying into any of their new lines when it's likely they'll end it after just one or two waves.

I have no regrets so far in choosing not to buy McF's DC Multiverse, especially after seeing the new figures at Toy Fair and confirming that this line is going to be 90% Batman-themed which is ridiculous. It seems clear now that it will never be as diverse as Mattel's DCUC line, so that combined with the scale difference and the possibility the line won't last beyond 1 or 2 years convinced me not to bother starting over with this new DC line after years and money put into the Mattel figures.

It's a lack of demand and as a result stores won't stock them making it too risky. In many cases they are getting into the line far too late. Harry Potter and GoT are prime examples. The later of two having been obliterated in the final season. NECA often says that human figures are a hard sell and both of those franchises are human heavy lines. Hopefully this new program McFarlane is trying out works. The idea of kickstarter lines may bother some but it's a good way to gauge total demand. Who knows maybe some of the otherwise dead lines may end up being handled this way.

There wouldn't be a panel for McFarlane or any of the smaller companies. Most information would come from interviews conducted by the Youtubers in attendance.

Some great videos on YouTube with Todd and one with an employee. I get the impression we will be in for some awesome Stuff. I have zero issues. I just bought the Batman 1000 and the animated Batman. I can’t stop playing with Batman 1000. That thing holds its poses like no figure I own.

If anyone at mcfarlane is reading. Please. Burton/Schumacher films. And yes, max shreck needs to happen.

Awesome stuff across the entire DC Universe or just awesome stuff for Batman with a couple of high profile characters?

Because until MacFarlane makes the likes of Killer Moth, Pied Piper, Ambush Bug, and El Papagayo, I have no faith in them truly covering the DC universe.

I don’t think any company will ever cover the dc universe like Mattel did. They had the license for 13 years. Mcfarlane, just started and has it for 3. He is listening to fans and it sounds like comic con will be great. That seems where they will be able to show some things fans are requesting. All I know is I have my Batman from mcfarlane standing on one foot shooting his grappling gun upwards. No other figure I own can hold this pose. For $20, to me there is nothing better.

That said, let him know through the boards and social media what you want. He has a guy at toyfair that does nothing but read our comments and try to get our wants made, including double joint elbows for Superman. Post what you like/want, post what you don’t like/don’t want.

I personally don’t need an expansive dc set, Mattel have that to me. I want awesome figures that even alone on a shelf they look great.

My want list.

Better female leg sculpting.
Heads that look upward.

1989 joker ( in as many suits as possible)
1989 Batman
1992 Batman
1992 penguin (Oswald as well)
1992 catwoman
1992 max shreck (circus gang would be awesome)
1995 Batman (both suits)
1995 robin
1995 two-face(a few suits) (sugar and spice would be cool)
1995 riddler(a few suits)
1997 Batman
1997 robin
1997 batgirl
1997 mr.freeze
1997 poison ivy
1997 bane

The nolan trilogy is tough, there are so many different scales, but none that seem to scale with mcfarlane.

I wouldn’t mind the new stuff as well, along with the Adam west and even the 40s Batman cerial.

And of course.....2019 joker and Arthur. That is a must.
