What a boring looking figure. Pop off the head and I MIGHT be able to guess who it is in 5.

I want to say great things about this figure.
That render looks amazing. It would be awesome to own that at least as a statue.

But man what is with the colors. This light brown plus purple gloves. I get not having a dark wash but a dark brown would have been a nice start.

The head sculpt is just great.

I don't find a closed trenchcoat statue a compelling action figure.
They've done this great sculpt on the legs and exposed torso.....but the trenchcoat hides it.

I'm curious how much of the sculpt is done. If that coat is like Lui Kang and comes off, I wonder how much if sculpted and how much is blank filler?

Then the next question is if a proper Hush is coming in the two pack?

The answer is no

Has there ever been talk of Todd releasing a weapons pack for 7 inch scale figures? They could fit anyone in the scale. Seems like a work around?

I had a large supply of extra weapons, but I’m down to almost nothing with all these mcfarlane empty handed releases.

No horse in this race, but I gotta say the mounting impotent rage inspired by this issue is pretty funny. Maybe the trucker convoy can be rerouted to WB's corporate offices???

The funniest part of all this is that grabbing a Grifter at retail (insert whatever neutered gun toting hero/villain) will only prove WB's point that the characters will sell sans their traditional weapon sets. And most people know that, will buy anyway, and ignore their role in it all in a perfect fit of cognitive dissonance.

This shit is kinda rich; they got y'all by the balls/ovaries/etc. But don't worry, this isn't me engaging in a bit of schadenfreude (although I'm definitely laughing at the situation) as much as it's a form of commiseration. As a long-term Legends collector who wades through constant full(overpriced) redecos and redrafts along with countless near-misses, I feels' your pains'. But at least we usual get guns and ray-zappers.

Seriously, as mentioned, there are work arounds for this and it ain't like y'all will stop buying.

McFarlanes are 7", not 6" (1/12). So you'll need something bigger.

It's kind of annoying that to "workaround" you gotta guy say spend extra money to buy 3D printed guns, etc. Or $40 for a She-Spawn you don't want. All because some stupid fucked up kid wants to be a celebrity on the news.

It's just stupid because what stance is WB trying to take besides "we know we can do this because people will still buy anything DC so we're trying to gain Twitter cred"?

I'm sure they're going to stop little Johnny, whose parents ignore him, gets bullied at school, tells his friends he'll kill them, and spends his days on Brietbart and 4chan angrily ranting about how he hates minorities and loves Nazis, from committing mass murder because his Red Hood figure doesn't have a gun.

He surely isn't seeing the Halo, GI Joe, Fortnite, Roblox, Aliens, Predator, Marvel, NECA, and other McFarlane figures literally right next to the DC figures packed with guns. Right, WB?

It's also hypocritical. "Oh, hey, we have movies kids are surely seeing with Joker and Harley Quinn and even goddamn Batman gunning down people. And TV shows kids are surely seeing with kid favorite actor and children's book author John Cena mass murdering people with guns. And comics kids are surely reading where murderous Joker, Harley, Two Face, etc. brutally kill people...thank God we took the guns out of dad's $400 Hot Toys figure. That'll make little Johnny not be a mass murdering psychopath!"

If they were genuine, they'd leave Batman behind and go with more fantasy characters like Superman, etc. Not have movies with Joker and Riddler ranting about how they're put upon and how they are in the right murdering people they see as being evil. Because don't tell me people didn't take their kids to see Joker and The Batman. Instead they have DC Superhero Girls where psychotic Eco Terrorist Poison Ivy and mass murdering clown Harley Quinn are marketed to little girls as heroes.

Which just seems really fucking odd. Then again, I guess crossbows are out as well, given Mafex Huntress doesn't have her signature weapon.

Guess it's a total "projectile weapon" ban minus bow and arrows for some odd reason.

I don’t see rage. I see double standards. DC Movies and comics can be as violent and filled with guns as can be, but the adult figures need to prove a point? If it wasn’t for double standards, they’d have none at all.

Instead of the stupid swords, I’d rather mcfarlane “make it up to us” by giving the damn second head. Or go the masters of the universe classics route and give some accessories that mean something to already released figures.

That's a great rant (you made me start giggling again ) and there are one or two things in there that I agree with, along the margins, but it's largely pointless if you continue to buy.

Try looking at this from another perspective. WB is a huge media publisher with a "play" toy-line aimed at children (despite what adult collectors might believe) in the premier country for hoplophiles and gun-related violence/murder. Beyond the precedent setting
settlement between surving parents in Newtown, CT and Remington, a prolific publisher might just be feeling some genuine civic responsibility to control what they potentially put in the hands of kids.

Some of the movies and shows you mention have clear disclaimers regarding violence and it's incumbent upon parents to regulate what their kids have access to regarding viewing content. The same could be said for toys, however, there are fewer barriers for access in the toy aisles of Walmart and Target. The optics aren't good, this is 'business,' and companies don't play around with liability nor public relations.

Now, I'm not arguing against your accusations of hypocrisy. However, I think that claim is more appropriate when applied on a societal level, as we struggle with a host of incongruent behaviors. But the bottom line is, similar to the Rancor debacle, the only way you're going to communicate your 'rage' in an effectual manner is to resist the urge to buy. Force WB to consider an actual 'adult-collector' model, or STFU and find a workaround.

If you do settle on buying anyway, just know you are part of your own problem and maybe start cross-pollinating and gabbing some NECA Terminator/Predator/Gears/etc figs.

Correct. The only way they change is if we stop buying. And that’s not gonna happen. Todd is a smart guy and I’m sure he will figure out weapons packs on his site that are generic.

On the Rancor, Hasbro and Disney will never admit it failed because we didn’t get a half naked green sex slave. Lol.

People would rather complain about others' inconsistencies than their own, lol. There's a forum member who doesn't buy any McFarlane DC figures...but keeps starting threads and posting about them.

That’s how it always is. He-man forums are rich with “collectors” that don’t collect. Marvel has its comic vs MCU fights in almost every thread.

The main issue is toys are being politicized. I’d be real nice if something in life could leave out politics. Buy it can’t, both sides scream at each other digging in deeper and deeper. No one talks, no one listens. Just screams.

I have never clicked on any Marvel threads, but based on what you just wrote, I imagine this is what happens in them:

The best problems are those I love to whine about, while both consciously and subconsciously contributing to! It's what has allowed me to stick in there with good ole' Hasbro all these years! Can't really blame them exclusively

Welcome to the internet sunshine people post about stuff they don't like all the time. This is a toy forum if I see a new figure being released/shown on twitter even if its Mcfarlane I'm gonna post it here if it hasn't already.
