Playmates will be releasing 2 packs for a TMNT vs Street Fighter line. The 2 packs will consist of Leonardo vs Ryu, Michelangelo vs Chun Li, Donatello vs Ken, and Raphael vs Guile.

The turtles looks a little ridiculous with such heavy paint on the torso and head and then basically bare limbs.

Same. The Turtles are future drawer warmers, but I can't pass up on decently articulated SF figures at a presumed decent price point.

So basically Street Fighter X Tournament Fighters?

Yes, I will take all four, please.

I'll display the turtles with the various others. I however am super excited for the street fighters especially for the 25 price point they should be.

Pretty sure, knowing playmates, it's a one and done.

Playmates will probably charge 40 dollars.

Not worth it imo.

So how tall are these figures? I can't keep up with all the different lines of TMNT.

If these turtles are supposed to look "in game", shouldn't they be more simplified color wise, instead of heavily shaded?

I really wish Donatello would have been packed with Guile so I could have had my favorites in one package!

Definitely grabbing the Guile pack and will see if I need Donnie and Ken after I have Guile in hand.

I'm not sold on these Street Fighter likenesses.
I get that Playmates was going with Street Fighter II.
I'm not sure they succeeded though.

Gonna keep my eye on these though.

Yeah I agree they're really not close to model.

Some of the worst TMNT action figures ever produced finally look kinda interesting. Always down for a another Chun Li action figure, but this one comes across like a bootleg, the face sculpt/paint? looks way off.

Ick. Tmnt AND SF look horrid. Sorry, playmates, this is a huge fail. And before anyone cries about “well, these are cheap, wha’d you expect?” I remember the Sota and Resaurus streetfighter lines providing amazing sculpts for $19-$25. Sure, the plastic was very questionable, but they look a thousand times better than these.

The paint apps on the Turtles are awful, but I’m digging those Street Fighter sculpts.

I get thet TMNT figures are supposed to be somewhat comic-based by they look kinda zombie-like to me lol

The Ryu and Chun-Li look pretty sweet though. Classic SFII style with modern articulation. Looks way better than the godawful NECA SFIV Ryu I've had to make do with all this time. Maybe I'll buy these and sell off the zombie turtles.

They should do a secondary pack with
  • Alpha Cammy
  • Deejay
  • SF2 Sagat
  • Juri

To complete my SOTA and SHF line

Yeah, but how long ago were those lines? Probably not going to get most of those for $19-$25 anymore.

Little disappointed there probably won't be a Cammy or Sakura but other that that these are pretty sweet.

Point isn’t those lines. Point is, someone could make much better looking street fighter toys at the same price point. If you look at the pics on any screen bigger than a 90’s flip phone, Ryu’s face is HORRENDOUS. He’s got Bruce Campbell’s chin, Steve from Stranger Things’ hair, wolfman’s eyebrows… just… crap. Nothing like ANY streetfighter art. Chun-Li is SLIGHTLY better but still looks more like a Mario 2 turnip than the venerable world warrior.

These make the Hasbro toys from the 90’s look good.

Yeah, I beg to differ. The Toybiz crap was also much worse than these.

Aye they really were.

Honestly I think this new Ryu's head ain't bad at all. He looks quite like the intro to Super Street Fighter II. Aye it's not perfect but it's close enough for me.

And out of all these Ryu's I'd say it's easily one of the better ones. I like it far more than the SFIV NECA one I mentioned above that is in this photo too. I've never been fond of that spiky hedgehog hair they gave him in the modern games. lol

And my point was that yes, they could...twenty years ago. But not now. Nobody is getting a better Ryu than this within that price range anymore.
