Kalibak looks great. Some Matte spray on the skin and hair an it would be
wonderful. But it does have a statue problem. Overall for Mcfarlane Mcfarlane reuses molds. I fully support this. I just don't releasing the same version of a character three different times with only one part being changed. A part that could have been packaged with another(hands/heads/capes). But I understand something like Hush Batman where the colors are different. I can get behind reusing the Y2 body mold when they change out the belt, upper torso, cape, boots, and gauntlets. I call that a new enough figure. What I would like to see are Mcfarlane really needs to study Mafex Elbows/knees sculpted for articulation. They still haven't addressed this. They are just cutting the joints out after the fact. It hurts the bigger armed characters the most. Torso articulation. Mafex Hush Batman has the same setup as Mcfarlane, and yet it can bend a great deal. It's sickening how well it does it without a giant cavity in the back. On bigger characters there is no reason not to split up the torso. They funny enough just need less plastic and bigger hidden cavities. A real shoulder swivel be nice. All of this is just standardization. The last thing is neutral but iconic faces. The company can do it. Azbats and that upcoming Hush Batman show they can. |
