Street Date: Officially 2021-11-10 MSRP: $20 Price I Paid: $20 Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10) This is a GameStop Exclusive. I think it was available for sale before any of the other Three Jokers figures, but it's popular enough that GameStop.com no longer has it. You're going to have to try your luck in GameStop's physical stores. https://www.gamestop.com/collectible...ve/305914.html ---------- I have already reviewed the Three Jokers Batgirl and Red Hood figures. I'm still waiting to find Batman in a Target or Walmart store near me, lol. In the meantime, I'm going to review the Jokers, starting with The Comedian. The Comedian is the Joker from The Killing Joke. This is the Joker who's infamous for shooting Barbara Gordon in the spine, thus disabling her. He kidnapped and tortured Commissioner Gordon to try to prove to Batman that even the best of people can become deranged psychopaths with one bad day. In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around The Comedian's torso. In addition to an information card and a base stand, The Comedian comes with two accessories, a camera and a crowbar. The camera is probably a little out of scale (too big), but it's a little larger than life anyway in terms of Joker iconography. The figure's overall height is about 7.25-inches tall. Judging by social media posts, this has become the favorite Joker action figure for a lot of people. I can see why if you just pose him once and never touch him again on your display shelf. However, the rubber trench coat really inhibits posability, especially with regards to the legs, and the arms can't be pushed flush against the body. The torso is pretty rigid, too. It'd also have been nice if the fedora had been a removable accessory rather than glued to the head. The head can rotate 360 degrees, and the arms can reach around to The Comedian's back. Still, you can't really put him in a dynamic fighting pose. Most of the figure is probably unpainted, with plastic or rubber that was already manufactured in the desired shade of purple. However, there are some parts, such as the head and shoes, that were painted. On mine, the right shoe would've benefited from an additional coat of white paint. If you want to pose Joker with guns, you can use guns that come with other McFarlane DC or Fortnite figures. One of the Fortnite figures has a revolver with a long barrel that doesn't look as ridiculous as the revolvers that were included with previous Jokers. One of the Fortnite figures has a tommy gun which looks great with The Comedian, too. Areas of concern: -- Don't try to pry the legs open too far as you might tear the rubber trench coat in certain areas, such as on the back. -- Paint applications may be weak in some areas.

I wanted to love this guy and Batgirl from this wave. Batgirl suffers from seeming like she has no neck and Comedian is just a little too bulky. I wish the jacket fit tighter.
Still, along with Batman Beyond Batwoman, these are the only McFarlane figures I've bought so far. |
