Toad is really gorgeous despite the arm pins.

Loving the spider-man stuff.

The fact that the Disney plus series was in package gives me hope it’s coming sooner.

The closed packaging is fine, but I worry about paint apps when buying in person. I actually don’t buy some figures unless I see them just to make sure paint are ok. I also sometimes see a figure and say “wow, that looks cooler than I thought, I’ll buy it.” The Impulse buy is now removed. The up side, you can have a closed box and still open your figure.

The lack of Marvel Cinema sets is concerning. 4 years in a row we have had large programs for older films. This year is Ned and Peter from homecoming, part of no larger program at this point.

I posted this in another thread.

2018 saw the release of the “first ten years” sets. There were 11 different releases covering 20 figures. Also the defenders saw a 2-pack and the SDCC set was released adding 5 of the most expensive figures.

2019 saw the “80th anniversary of marvel” which included past MCU characters. This included 5 two-packs covering 10 figures from the MCU past films. Plus The SDCC set was the “collector” and “grandmaster”. Adding 2 more to the mix.

2020 saw the FOX X-MEN “20th anniversary sets” these included 8 different releases from the films covering 11 past film figures, 13 if you count the young Charles and Magneto. We also saw the MCU Stan Lee, the 5-pack “children of Thanos” set and the BAF “Groot” exclusive that year. The Groot set added 3 Groots to the mix.

2021 saw the “infinity war saga series” which included 10 releases for a total of 14 figures from past MCU films. Also a “dusty” Deadpool was released for the films and an exclusive spider-man homecoming “Vulture”. Adding 2 more for past films.

2022……?

Those closed packages will so be resealed with Eternals figures gotten on clearance in the store.

Going to have to go online, but it'll be a bitch especially with ML's spotty paint apps.

This Stream did nothing for me just a big Spider-Man circle jerk.

Was hoping that Deluxe Valkyrie was gonna be shown.

I'm in for the Lizard at least. The Ned and Peter two-pack looks great too.

They nailed it on the likeness on Peter Parker and Ned. I know the set will probably be on clearance in no time, but I'm going to pre-order a set anyway just to show my support.

i dont have time to watch the video but did they give a reason for the closed packaging? i dont get it from a marketing standpoint at all. is it just a thing to cut cost on plastic? doesnt do much for MOC collectors so whatever money they may save they might just lose right back in sales.

Hasbro is making a big environmental push to dump plastic

in the stream they mentioned the first Lizard is the BAF from 2018 series. The second Lizard they show is the new one. For the "there was nothing for me" guy, they did actually show the thor figures in the stream.

See Power Rangers, this is how you do a stream. I felt this was good not because of all the new reveals but the time they took to address the figures they already announced. And no silly skits.

Strong showing today.
A lot of two packs but that's the game I guess.

Venom/Knull looks great. Really I'm in it for the movie Venom repaint. Shame they didn't do new boot feet, so he has toes. Still that mold is one I consider to just be a great base body. It does so much right. It needs to be reused for more then just Venom.

RYV Spider-man just kicked Retro out the house with pinless joints and articulated toes.

It does make it annoying when Iron Spider and that FF Spider-man don't even use the Retro body much less the RYV body.

I don't really want Mary Jane(because they don't address the female torso) but it might be worth it. Not like how silk is randomly with Doc Ock.

Lizard: Looks good, but that wired tail kinda makes me eyeroll at Doc Ock. The Walmart exclusive though hurt.

The Homecoming Peter/Ned, I probably won't get unless the price drops down the line but it looks solid.

Spider-man Noir is tempting.

Toad is alright. He doesn't look bad at all but not exactly my favorite design.

Amazing Fantasy Spider-man: I personally am not a fan of the symbol but I appreciate the Retro Spider-man like body. Which again........why didn't Iron Spider-man get one?

So solid Spider-man display.

Well packaging you toss. With recycling centers having no bloody federal standard, some of the stuff you do recycle ends up in a landfill anyway. The plastic toy itself, one tends to keep or it's not destined for a landfill unless it breaks.

Spider-Man with pinless joints? About bloody time. lol. Always hated visible pins and it's often been worse on Spidey because rarely have the colours all matched right you ended up with red pins on blue parts making the pins even more visible and ugly. lol. I think I'll have to take that Renew Your Vows pack. Looks like an ace Spidey figure all round and MJ looks sweet too. I'm not a big Marvel guy so I'll pass on the rest but aye that Spidey is a must.

They didn't show the Thor Figures even though they were Officially shown yesterday. Dan on twitter did say Thor stuff would be shown.( I don't count that stupid roleplay hammer) Was hoping that Deluxe Valkyrie was gonna be shown.
Did I hallucinate all those Thor figures they showed right before they showed the hammer?

What're you babbling about? They were the first figures shown.

He's bigger. It's the Movie Venom body from a couple of years ago with two new heads and wings. Looks killer. Wish he didn't have the monster feet since it's supposed to emulate Stegman's Venom. But it ain't gonna stop me from grabbing it.

I'd say never has a toyline looked this boring, but then, there is the Eternals toyline.
So did Marvel suddenly remember Jane Foster existed? She was pretty much gone since Thor II.

be a nice time to bring back tamper resistant tape. It's not perfect, but better than the stuff they use now.

I NEED that “Renew Your Vows” Spider-Man! I sold retro ML Spider-Man because of no toe hinge, ugly red joint pins, tiny chest/shoulders, and messed up webbings.

Yeah visible pins is the biggest gripe with Marvel Legends and Black Series. I don't collect too much of either lately but happy they're improving and moving on from the old molds.

That's some real cool stuff shown here. I'm excited for most of the Spiderman stuff. I'm really not a fan of those windowless boxes though. QC is much better than it used to be but I don't trust blind buying this stuff especially at the higher price. Plus it's like what the hell because doesn't that make manufacturing costs even cheaper.

Awesome reveals!

Toad 20th Anniversary!
The #1 reveal for me! Will be a great addition to the Brotherhood of Mutants display!

Homecoming Civilian Peter Parker will fit in for a young Peter Parker in my comics display. No use for Ned Leeds for me.

Knull – Venom 2pk
Can't wait to add that Venom to the display! He looks awesome and seems to be the right body size imho, more bulky than the previous releases yet not too crazy bulked up like monster Venom.
Not familiar with Knull but he looks like a Vampire to me and will be added to the Morlun, Blade, Morbius lineup.

Renew your Vows Spinneret – Spider-Man 2pk
Seems like the best Spider-Man to date, hard to beat pinless, finally no more stupid mismatched colored pins.
The Spinneret Mary Jane head looks good.

Lizard – ToyBiz Retro style carded
OUCH! Walmart Exclusive -_-
A Must Have for me, 2nd best reveal. This will be my main Lizard in the display. Right now I have the Diamond Select Lizard. I really hated the ML BAF because to me he looks like a dinosaur imho.

Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man will most likely be another Spider-Man addition. I don't collect Spider-Verse salts per se, but still get sucked into these different costumes over the years 60s through 90s

As for the new boxes, it will be a pain and I forsee many returns. I guess I have to get lucky on finding the figures at retail, buy em all up as much as I'm able to and return the bunch after getting a satisfied looking version with minimal quality control issues..
Super annoying and it will tie up the budget in a very bad way.
Crossing fingers Hasbro will up the quality control to not have to resort to that length.
