We're still doing the weird snap-on tech weapon gimmick, I see.

They're not really making me want to jump back into 3.75" Star Wars with these 5 PoA offerings. The sculpts are decent, but I just can't get over their complete inability to do dynamic poses.

Where are all of the aliens and creatures? Back during the last trilogy, Hasbro couldn't make enough of them. Now, they make barely any. It's just a bunch of humans in robes and jackets.

The Force Awakens ones (aliens and creatures) peg warmed hard in most areas. I collect these with my son, and we STRICTLY stick pretty much humans only. At least only First Order and Resistance. No interest in the random figures which tend to be aliens and random droids.

Also, I think HASBRO may be playing the waiting game? To see if they actually have screen time this time. For Force Awakens they made everything skinnier were left on benefit room floor or saw less than 3 seconds screen time.

LOVE the vehicle pics. Tie Silencer bought on sight!!_

Kind of a bust in the cpl stores I went to in the Dutchess County, NY area. More funco pop dolls than anything else. The guy in the toys department said their truck came in lite for anything to be released today. Best selection out of all was probably the lego section, and there was a lego rep at the end of the isle in Fishkill I talked to for about 5 minutes. Hasbro has had some crap releases, Star Wars is WAY behind, especially in the 6" black. Did find the Tie Silencer and picked it up, and the Rey/Red Guard 2 pack, otherwise, the shelves were pretty barren

No 5PoA Lukes anywhere to be found where I'm at... guess he's the one everyone wanted.

Or even just stand there in a vanilla pose without falling over at the slightest bump. Might be a petty reason to some but, It kinda got old having to always set them them up cause they would always topple like dominoes on my shelf.

Part of that is longevity of the line. Can't make you rebuy the same key character if they give you the best articulated version now, and Star Wars has a more or less permanent shelf life now that they have to think ahead like that.

So I kind of expect much later we'll see versions with knees and elbows. Probably after the last movie in the trilogy to celebrate the back half of the trilogy. They've done that before previously too, slowly upping the articulation in the figures over time, then scaling it back, then upping it again. It helps to keep pushing the merchandise that way by having some margin to improve into.

It'll probably go something like rotation cut legs, with the ball knees, elbows and shoulders (like Indiana Jones had) to then eventually ball jointed thighs to replace those. Allowing them the ability to sell the same character in that costume 3 times over the years.

Right now it's blockbuster movie material and the toys will likely sell anyway. So the first run outside of the vehicles aren't really a main concern as yet on articulation. Whereas stuff like accessories and vehicles can be re-used a lot over the years.

I'm with you on that though. A dynamic 3.75'' poseable Rey, Praetorian Guard, Finn, Chewbacca, Poe, General Organa, Han, and Old Man Luke would be awesome to have. And I guess Kylo Ren too.

Absolutely loving those little therapy bird critters for Chewbacca! Wonder how they get into the story.

I concluded this a while back, too; we saw this with the Rogue One line. Hasbro may have determined that most buyers, and children, don't care for most of the non-human characters and most of the droids. With Rogue One, the exception was K2S0; all of the alien characters were packed with other (human) characters. (They didn't distribute Raddus early enough so I think it's tough to gauge how well that character on a single card would have fared on shelves.)

In this case, I don't fault Hasbro. If there was strong demand for non-human characters, they would be more than happy to supply them. I still see non-human characters from TFA line peg warming in a few stores.

Can't wait to pick up these vehicles in a few months when they get heavily discounted on clearance.

The 5 POA line is not fun to collect. I just picked up 3 Black series 3.75 figures and they are amazing.

Star Wars isn't the same without the aliens. While they may peg warm, there is a dedicated fanbase for the non-human characters and they've been happy that Hasbro has notoriously provided those split-second screentime stars into figures.

5 POA or not, they make for great back tier fodder and let's not forget some of the best Star Wars dioramas of Cantinas, Hutt throne rooms, Geonosian arenas, & Sarlacc pits.

Personally, I welcomed Sidon & Quiggold, Maz Kanata, & even Ello Asty to my collection.

I lit it there in a way to highlight the cuts and lines for sure, but, it does look close in hand. Looks good in hand regardless of light IMO. I'm not keeping all of this stuff long term, but I am keeping the Silencer and Probe Droid sets.

Yeah, after I made my post, I thought perhaps it was just your badass photo skills that set it off. But if it's close to that regardless, maybe I can be tempted to the..wait for it...dark side.

The 3.75" single pack Kylo is incredible, just incredible. I personally LOVE these 5 POA entries. It was Toyark's galleries that got me more appreciative of the line. I picked up the first Kylo from TFA and haven't looked back.

I'm just not the guy who really plays with my toys anymore. I have the great Wal Mart exclusive Kylo that's super poseable, and that's good enough for me. At least until TVC comes back.

Wow, that Vader looks really good! I like how Hasbro was able to refine the cape so it sits on his shoulders more naturally and theres no weird neck gap like the Rogue One Vader from last year.

I've got to admit, I'm impressed with the level of detail and build quality of the Tie Silencer. I just inboxed mine and am impressed with the weight of it, especially the wings. So much better than last years Tie Striker with the floppy wings. The retractable cannons are a nice touch too--and no Nerf!!!

I just wish the overall toy was larger, especially the cockpit. It looks tiny compared to all other Ties. Having to use the Force Link to make the engines light up is annoying too. Hope some figures out a hack for that.
