DC Direct Batman Incorporated Figures

Per today's front page news, DC Direct Batman, Inc. Series 1 preorders are up at BBTS, and the figures are already available from various online retailers.

Included in Series 1 are:

Batman (Bruce Wayne)
Damian as Robin (Damian Wayne)
Batman: Knight
Batman: Man of Bats

Comments / Thoughts?

DICK GRAYSON BATMAN!? WAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!! I was hoping the third guy was Prometheus though... Oh well.

Edit: Ah, it is Bruce Wayne. Should have known. Oh well. Probably an entire line for me to skip anyways.

DC Direct figs are approx. 6.75" so DCUC collectors may find them a bit large in scale. They don't have quite the articulation of DCUC, and they don't come with any C&C pieces, but their paint apps are usually great and the stands that they come with typically are superior.

As far as the figs themselves:

Dickbats seems a bit bulky. Grayson was always a bit slight, and this fig is a muscle man. Also, the belt is awesome but the chest logo is wrong based on the B&R Morrison book. It should be a black bat without the yellow background.
Damian is supposed to be a 10 year old. He seems a bit too tall. The head torso look right, but his legs are way too long. Also, his cape is supposed to be black on the outside.
Knight looks to be an awesome fig and I am definitely going to buy this one, though I doubt the eventual Squire figure will meet expectations.
Man of Bats is an easy pass for me. I am not very committed to the character.

I would love to see the Nightrunner figure in this series. He seems to have a growing following.

Having gone public as Batman's long-time anonymous financier, I didn't think Bruce was donning the suit in the new book, though I admit I haven't read any of them yet.

Since my post I did see that the new suit does match the costume on the Batman, Inc. #1 cover, but Grayson's suit in the ongoing Batman & Robin is different.

I picked up Robin & Knight from evilbay.

Have to say, Robin is a pretty awesome figure. He isn't as tall as he looks in the pic. I think it is deceptive since his boot tops disappear behind the ID card on the bubble, but out of the package and beside the other 6.75-inch figs he looks just right.

Knight is kinda "meh," but since I don't expect to see any other versions of this fig from other lines in the near future I had to get him.

whenever figures like these show up at my local comic shop, all i can do is drool cause i cant drop 20 dollars for one figure.
