I know right? I love the new Mega Bloks minifigs! The COD/AC body types are perfect mini figures! Now I kinda wish they still had the Marvel license. Not anymore. These shifts happen. Mega bloks used to do Marvel, now Lego does. Personally I'm starting to prefer Mega Bloks more and more. The vehicles over in Halo are usually extremely well done, and the mini figures are absolutely amazing! |

I'm very excited. No elbows is bizarre though.

i don't quite understand the idea of articulated mini-figures.. hell.. i don't quite understand the idea of having a mini-figure collection (unless you're talking about troopers from star wars, which is pretty cool).. but for me, buying lego sets is all about the build. i've only tried one other brick building company's sets.. i have a bunch of kre-o transformers sets, and compared to lego, they feel like knock-off's. it's a bummer that lego doesn't have the license anymore.. i was really hoping for a classic party van from them... or a technodrome.. oh well. |

No elbows is a killer for me. I've been looking forward to this line since it was announced. Super-poseable mini-figures of the Turtles sounded awesome. I even decided to skip on the TMNT Minimates in favor of this prospective line. No elbows on the Turtles is a line breaker for me.

If they use a connection to the shoulder that's similar to the COD/AC/Halo ones, you can always 'enhance' the figure. The base turtle shell and head are my concern personally on scale to see how they compare if it's worth doing that kind of swap.

I missed the elbow thing I know on the power rangers figures they didn't have Halo articulation either. I'm thinking it's the companies with the licenses not Mega that decides what to put in them it would make any sense to make the base bodies all different if there wasn't a reason. |

Mega bloks has two types of mini-figures. Ones for kids and ones for collectors. And these Turtles ones are clearly kid mini-figures. The kid ones don't have knees or elbows. But they do have ball jointed ankles (for Power Ranger high kicks I guess). Look at the mini-figures with current Hot Wheels sets. Exact same articulation pattern these turtles have (from the waist up anyway).

If the elbows aren't articulated, the knees probably aren't either, just like the Power Rangers. If you guys want fully articulated TMNT mini-figures, you've always got the Mini-Mates! |

Looks like the masks are separate pieces from the heads. Possibly swappable? Anyway owning a few minions sets and built more than a few Hello Kitty and Barbie sets with my nieces, kid focused Megabloks aren't terrible. I want to see these turtle sets.

Thanks for the info! It's amazing how little has been released about these new sets.

saw the Classics sets the other day at Walmart. All 4 turtles, plus the Bebop and Rocksteady sets with 4 Ninjas. Looks great! Price is a tad harsh for such tiny pieces. $8 each for the TMNT and $15 for Rocksteady and Bebop sets.

That's what they charge though. Go look at equivalent Halo or CoD sets, same prices for the same type of sets.
