Fun set. Don’t know if I need or have room for it, but fun. I like the scale. I’m hoping Scooby comes out at some point.

Yeah doesn't look bad, but I've got the One:12 Popeye and Bluto set, so don't really need this one. I've yet to PO any of these 5 Points figures, I'm really on the border for the Batman set, I like how it comes with basically everything you could want.

Why can't Super7 have this price point for ReAction. These guys have 5 figures and interchangeable parts for 55 bucks.

Same here. I'm pretty sure the Scooby figures showed at NY Toy Fair long before Popeye.

These are neat but I believe these are just a re-release. Mezco put these out about 20 years ago. Which is good for those who missed it and don't want to pay some of the aftermarket prices. Feel its just to give some Popeye product out they had which is in a different scale than the upcoming BFS Popeye figures.

These aren't re-releases, the original Mezco Popeye figures had more articulation to them.

So damn tempting...I have the 5-points Popeye that came with Krig 13 and it surprised me A LOT how much I would like it. I wanted to sell it but I just can't!!! I can't let go!

In hand, everything looks so perfect. The little scale, the sculpt, paint, etc. I DON'T WANT TO CARE ABOUT THESE XDXDXD!!!!!

The price point is pretty fair...If there were more articulation I wouldn't hesitate....BOSS FIGHT can take a few notes for their Popeye.

PRE-ORDERED! There is something a magical about these figs you can only see in hand.

I echo that question. I'm really tempted to bite on this. The $$ is right for me. As is the scale, given my ever-shrinking free space to display such things. I would like to know if they intend to extend the line beyond this initial offering, though. One would assume so, but toys is a weird industry.

I would assume not, given Mezco's history. They might bring Popeye back in another form, but I wouldn't buy this on the assumption that there will be a follow-up release.

Ah. Good to know. I'm not intimately familiar with their product lines or history. Thanks for the insight.

If I were to guess if they're going to do future figures, they'll do it in packs like this so you'd have to get another Popeye for Wimpy and whoever else they would include.

Ahhh yeah smart thinking. I was also thinking that's it for the releases. But if it's another pack with a redeco for Popeye and probably Bluto too, I could see Wimpy and another character get squeezed in.......

BTW, Roughhouse and not Wimpy? What is it with WIMPY??? Every single Popeye fan ALWAYS wants Wimpy. That would most likely be the next request for either 5 points or One:12 hands down.

Then again, the lack of 5 points Wimpy leans to the idea they will most likely sell us another Popeye and Bluto because it will be the only way to get the Wimpster.

Stand corrected, I had a few of the original early 2000s figures but sold them a few years ago to make space and a hope for a better figure. Few friends of mine have them but they're relegated to not prime real estate in their displays. So been quite a few years for me. I remember they looked very similar sculpt and they were smaller than 1/12. Forgot recently Mezco have this big push and assortment for their 5 Points 3.75" figures. But they did include a Popeye from this line in that gift box they had on offer, right?

It's funny cuz I was just looking at those after I got the 5-point Popeye. They look SO GREAT. The variants are way cool. Pricey too. I still don't know if I'd pull the trigger on them. I wish there was a bit more articulation. Maybe the 5-points set will wet my appetite. Well, and Popeye withstanding, the Boss Fight stuff is looking really good. But digital renders are never enough. If those were perfect I don't think I'd be interested in any other Popeye stuff aside from One:12. Then again, I say that as I'm thinking....Popeye 5-point collection will be MINE! It makes sense, the scale is entirely different. Justify, justify, justify, etc. Good. Thank you brain.
