Impressed they're able to get a cloth suit under all that armor and have all the articulation. Looks incredibly screen accurate. Probably will be their most expensive in the line, but wow it looks good.

not bad, but i'll stick with mafex. these mezco figures just don't look right to me. their choice of materials, just gives them more of a fake look than realistic to my eyes.

That cape sure doesn't look like it drapes very well, which is really odd considering what a great job they did with the cape on their DKR Batman. The material just looks way too thick, especially over the shoulders. That said, I'll still be ordering one, because the rest looks great to me.

This looks amazing! So glad I haven't wasted any money on Batman v Superman toys that are out now. Saving all my money for Mezco. Looks fantabulous!

If you mean the DCC versions, yeah I prefer them, with the extra hands and such, also I don't like fabric on figures, too easy to rip or tear, they get dusty.

I'd be more inclined to get DCC or Mafex but the wires in the capes really bug me. If the One12 DKR figure is any indication, the soft goods they use are pretty durable and mine sits on my desk, doesn't seem to collect dirt.

Interesting that you say that. The thing that distinguished the Dark Knight Returns Batman figure, justifying a premium, was the fact that there was nothing remotely like it on the market. Everything, from the design to the articulation to the choice of materials, made it distinctive - a thing to be prized over its competitors. Now, with the market being flooded with characters, that distinctiveness is shot, and other details become more important, like the extent to which we like or dislike the designer's interpretation and the peculiar body proportions that are a necessary side effect of the extraordinary articulation.

I'm on the sidelines until reviews come in for this figure and its DCC and MAFEX competitors. What's the point of spending extra for fabric over the joints if the other versions look equally good on the shelf?

You're not wrong.

Both Dredd and DKR both have great shelf presence and I actually play around with my DKR a fair amount. The Mafex and DCC look kinda off for me, and I'm just not one for wires in capes, honestly if one of them didn't have that, I'd be pretty inclined to pick it up. But saturation is something that's just going to happen with a line. I'm actually pretty pleased they didn't just do the two figures and called it quits but I do wish they'd slow down a hair. All the being said, the cost creep on these are getting beyond the import collector figure cost range which is getting harder to be comfortable with. Other downside with this and probably the Mafex is by the time reviews start happening, I don't know if they'll still be available for a reasonable. I didn't get gouged on my DKR but I do wish I had gotten him at the release cost lol.
