This looks great and all but $100 is too much for me if that's the retail price. What could've pushed the price up like this? lt can't be the effects since Space Ghost came with way more, so is it the light up feature?

Looks pretty cool and was considering it despite not being a cyclops fan. However, the $100 price tag sunk that interest.

Scurrilous fkin price creep. An extra $20 for a light that’s gonna work intermittently, if at all, soon as you turn his head a few times. I wonder how they justify the increase between Iron Man and this when IM is largely diecast. They pull these prices right outta their asses. So is the obligatory blue & white suit variant gonna be cheaper without the yellow straps and jacket?

I've been enjoying the one:12 line since the beginning, but if they'll be pushing all of their figures towards $100 a pop, I guess I've found my excuse to get out.

I got out once they started charging 85-90, lol...

I'm good with a hundred dollar Cyclops though... I'll just modify my marvel legends with a body suit, lol

Not happy about the $100 price either. Doesn't make sense, you're not getting that much. I guess it's all specific to Cyclops and can't be used elsewhere maybe?

Yea, no one likes the price hike but what can you do. Hot Toys, SSC, almost everyone is doing it. And I view the Mezco One:12 line to basically be Hot Toys in the 1/12 scale so for half the size I am not surprised they're nearly half the price of a Hot Toys. This just means I will be more picky about which figures I get now if they're all gonna start being $100.

I actually ordered this Cyclops because of the accessories like the jacket. Sure I'd have gotten it at $80 with less accessories but I like what this comes with. I hope they keep going with the X-Men, would love a Gambit...

I've never bought a Mezco 1:12 and can't imagine I ever will, but the complaining about the 100 dollar price makes me laugh, a lot of people complaining about this are the same people who willingly paid 400+ to get that dumb all black exclusive Batman

And this is nowhere near the quality of a HT figure? It's good but nothing like that. Mezco's headsculpts are barely painted in comparison.

It's not just that it's $100 or $20 more, it's a 25% jump in price. That's a huge increase for something that isn't extravagant. There are some crazy collector's paying $400 for the rare Mezco's but the majority are not.

Agree with savage spawn. I think Disney wants more for their Marvel license. We will know for sure if a comparable DC figure comes out and it's 80 dollars. That will be the confirmation.

I loved these figs at $65, but $100 is too much for me.

Have you looked at the recent pre-orders for Figuarts,Mafex & Figma? They all seem to be in the $80-$100 range. It's not only Mezco raising their prices. I've also noticed that ML have gone up a little. $22-$25 is the average price. And let's not forget about DC. Average prices for upcoming releases are $25-$30. Looks as if everyone is hiking their prices a bit.

Mafex and Figma are $80-100, but Figuarts (not the US released ones who have to be expensive for the license) are still around $45-55 each. And even Mafex are really $65ish before shipping if you import. Marvel Legends and Star Wars BS are $20-22 MSRP, anything else is retailers screwing you.

I don’t even know why I bother complaining. I know when it comes close to release I’m gonna cave. Bastards.

There is no price creep. My pre-order for Modern Cap in January 2016 was for $80. The pre-orders for most recent figures like the Netflix Daredevil, Ragnarok Hela, Logan, Blade, etc... are all $80 as well. The only oddities are the PX exclusives which have all been five dollars more at $85, Ragnarok Hulk at $125, Iron Man at $90 and now Cyclops at $100. Unless we start seeing other regular releases at +$80 then there is no evidence of price creep in almost four years.

I see what you mean but this figure doesn't have $15 or $20 more than the other items in it. Not just for electronics. Maybe this is the price creep because I still think it should be closer to $90 if now accessories are now added costs.

Maybe, maybe not. You’ll find a reason to dislike the price if you really want to no matter what. There’s been no price creep on the other Marvel figures so you’ll have to come up with an actual reason instead of a speculative one why this isn’t worth what it is.
