Glad I haven't opened my Mafex Wonder Woman yet because Mezco looks like they've won the shelf spot. Only issues I have are that her head seems pretty big and the arms are a bit anorexic. Netflix DD must also be mine and if Netflix Punisher follows I won't be able to resist. His black-eyed, beaten and bloodied face would be amazing.

I don't like the Ash head sculpt at all. The Dawn of the Dead figures, tho, are perfect looking.

People keep hating on that Batman but I think Mezco has done an awesome job blending his original costume with a more Year 1 kind of feel

Don't care what people say, that Batman is really sweet looking. I had heard the Ghostbusters they have been showing off are still early prototypes, was hoping for something a bit more polished because they were what I was most looking forward to and they are a bit underwhelming at the moment.

Does anyone know what happened to the Classic Punisher they showed off at Toy Fair and SDCC last year?

Did they cancel it, or is it gonna be a con exclusive, or what? Because we haven't heard anything about it for a while, and that's the one version of their Punisher I wanted.

If I had to choose only one Jason, I'd say Part 3. With an NES-colors Previews Exclusive!

Part 7 would be pretty amazing too. Make both of those and a Part 2, and I think we'd have all the bases covered...though I'd really want all of them.

Their figures look great, but boy do they suck at face sculpts of real people. We already saw that Harley Quinn looks nothing like Margot Robbie. That Ash looks more like Keanu Reeves. That Wonder Woman...I have no idea who that's supposed to be. They all look like caricatures of real people.

I'm glad the Ash looks like crap, because I normally get anything and everything Ash related. This will be easy to pass on.

At least with Harley Quinn, the actual sculpt of the face itself is actually fantastic, as seen when looking at the digital sculpt (there's a pic of it posted in the thread for the solicit photos for that figure). But the problem comes with the paint, and the fact that the faces for their figures often seem to be oddly translucent in the promo pics, plus the weird lighting in those pictures, which obscures a lot of the details, and the likeness is somewhat loss. I think some of that is at play here with a lot of the faces shown here at the pre-show - at least the paint and the lighting.

Yeah, they should made him more cartoony. I have plush doll of Popeye with plastic head from my childhood, he looks nicer face wise.

I like that Iron Man, he reminds me of the original cartoon I watched as kid. Also, he doesn't have that weird mix of plastic and clothes. But he would probably cost a lot as much as those who have this weird mix.

As for Wonder Women, if I wanted one I would've bought the Mattel version who have DOUBLE joints and brushable hair (as much as I dislike action dolls with plastic hair, I hate it ten times more for female charcters and find it unacceptable. Unless it stylized like the cool Three A ones), not to mention cost less or about the same price and is bigger..

I'm handpicking figures from this line, as I only collect 1/6th and MP Transformers...but I gotta say...

That Wolverine looks like shit. That costume is way off. The shorts look ridiculous as do the shoulder pads. It's like the just borrowed the Yellow Daredevil's suit. Mezco really needs to forget about Artistic interpretation when it comes the Marvel and DC.

Classic Iron-man and Netflix Daredevil look great, but I think the best revealed so far is Dr. Strange. He looks great.

I also have an idea...instead of working on prototypes and revealing new characters, why don't they get to work on production of what's already been shown for 2 years now. Seems like their big on previews and short on delivery. I'm all for a quality product, and taking time to insure that...but it just seems like they are moving exxxtremely slow.

Ash looks terrible!

Wonder Woman has a terrible looking thigh cut. The point of this line was to kind of not have that cut there?

Rest are somewhat interesting. No real mind blowing ones, but Dr. Strange looks nice.

I think the reason that Wolverine has shorts instead of trunks is the same reason pant legs of their First Appearance Daredevil's tunic are so long, and why their Superman's trunks are sewn on to the suit: if I remember correctly, when they released their Dark Knight Returns Batman, they were getting complaints that the trunks were riding up, or that they were hindering leg articulation because when you'd move the leg forward, the thicker edge part would get pushed inbetween the hip and pelvis, and would keep the leg from going as far forward as it was supposed to.

Well, looking at that costume, there's no real good way to avoid that cut being visible, is there?

I completely agree on your points about Wolverine. Don't like that it looks like he's wearing short brown shorts and the shoulder pads just look bad to me. They were okay on Daredevil, but I don't like them here. I've heard the explanation about why they might've chosen to go with shorts, but if that's really the case, then they need to figure something else out unless they intend on putting tons of superheroes in shorts who don't belong in shorts. It just looks silly, in my opinion.

You said you collect 1/6, well I can tell you that Hot Toys can take a long time to release. Take for example Crossbones. How long has it been since he was revealed? Right around the premiere of Civil War? And Resident Evil 5 Leon. I can't tell you how long it's been since they showed him, he just released. Mezco was kind of quiet until this line popped up. Aside from Mezitz and LDD, they haven't had a consistent line this demanding since Cinema of Fear. Personally I'm happy that they made such a comeback amd have this many 1:12 figures to offer. I wish the price was a little better, but they definately have a quality product.
I'll take Wolverine, shorts and all. I do agree on one thing, the shoulder pads can go.
