Finally listed as sold out as of about 2:30. I went back and forth on this figure since I know zilch about Moon Knight but the figure looked really cool. In the end, I decided to preorder this one.

I'm surprised how many people are unfamiliar with this version of Moon Knight. Toy Biz & Hasbro have both done this figure as a Marvel Legends.

ToyBiz never did this costume. ToyBiz did a vaguely similar color scheme on their Moon Knight, but this actual costume in the comics was designed years after ToyBiz went under.

I think folks just generally don't like this look compared to his classic all white costume... and since Hasbro had already made this one just makes it a tough item ti get behind.

Yes they did! It's in the Modok series. Check it out. Series 15. It was a variant.

The Variant MoonKnight is actually just his "shadow" look when it appears that he is in all black... but it's just his whites in shadow... it was released back in 2006. The armored look of MK didn't appear until something like 2014 or so...it looks a lot like his armored look but you can see there is no armor- just black.

Not quite. The 06 Toybiz Moon Knight was based on the Scott Kolins redesign that debuted in Marvel Team-Up vol. 3 in 2005. His design made the body suit completely black with the crescent moon, belt, gloves, boots, hood and cape the only white parts.

The redesign didn't last that long before the all-white costume came back.

Like someone else up thread mentioned, the Mezco SDCC variant (and the Marvel Legends release that came out a few years ago) is based on the Declan Shalvey design from Moon Knight vol. 7 which came out in 2014. His design added the white chest armor piece and the white striped armored pieces on the sides of the boots (which the Mezco version is missing for some reason but the Legends figure kept).

Honestly if I didn't already have the Legends version then I probably would have gotten this because I've always like this and Kolins' versions better than the classic all-white costume.

Nice. White is still the best. But now with 3 cosine changes ol' MK is will on his way to being the next Spider-man. Lolz.

It's not obvious in a lot of the pictures, but the Mezco version actually has the white, it's just on the back of the calf rather than the side or front for some reason. D-Amazing's video shows it off better.
