Ok, so recently I've been spelunking into comic book shops, flea markets etc and I have found some incredibly rare/hard to find ML stuff.

Not that this is too impressive but I just picked up a Toybiz Series III Gambit for 8 bucks card and all. I thought that was a pretty sweet deal.

Anywho, I'm more of a MU collector but my love for Marvel transcends scale.

My ML collection is very small...like 6 figures at best. There are a lot of cool finds I know of that I could easily procure, for some money of course.

I was going to wait till SDCC though to see how Hasbro approaches the reboot but my curosity has been sated.

WE KNOW Hasbro will give us a Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor etc etc all the popular ones. Is it worth picking up the older Toybiz ones just for the sake of saying "I GOT THE COOLER ONE".

Do you feel like the older ones have better quality? Discuss!!!!

Well you also have to remember this isn't strictly Toybiz v Hasbro because half way into ML's career Hasbro picked up the line.

So old ML consists of Toybiz and Hasbro.

I find it a mix of good and bad... the distrubution of the old ML figures was a lot better then the newer stuff we see such as the 2pack figures.. never seen any of that come my way, and I would of bought it all had it come to my shops. I was lucky enough to have a comic store order me the iron man/maria hill 2pack which is awesome. But personally I'd rather have the figure have amazingly sculpted hands that have individual moving fingers and digits, versus 2-4 sets of hands. just my preference.. The older figures came with more accessories and had the baf which was a huge part of the line's success factor... buy 8 awesome toys and get 1 giant ass awesome toy. Some collectors only bought the individual figures to get the baf and others only wanted 2-3 but got them all for the baf, while the rest bought them 1 at a time and they grew on us so we bought more. I've found a few somewhat local collectors who are selling they're ML collections 1 lady has like 10 MOC figures only 2-3 I don't have which I'd open but the rest I'd sell and 1 of them is a Juggarnaut figure! She only wants $125 for the lot plus $35 shipping, but there's also magneto, omega red, etc.. sometimes you can find items nobody has 2 sweet clues what it's worth and resell for double tripple or more what you paid for it. Curious Tarquinius what Rare or just in general figures are you refering to that you can find? I started collecting ML very late in the game and don't have a ton so I'd love to find more for a decent price.. pm me.

PM'd

Yeah I mean...I dunno...

It'd be more money to get some of the older figures but I think they are cool anyway...

Hmmm I guess I'll wait to SDCC

I collect both MU and ML but ML will always be my favorite, it's what got me back into collecting action figures. The toybiz ones were much better than most of what hasbro did, especially the paint. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have up coming for legends. If anyone is interested I have some random Marvel Legends doubles, I used to buy ML by the case when toybiz made them. I got extras of some rare ones Juggernaut, Deadpool, Phoenix, and a bunch of others.

i thought of getting a deadpool and i looked on ebay and other stores to see which one is better value , the ones i wanted were both 6 inches , I wanted the marvel legends one , but couldnt find any at the time . so i asked my dad and he said its better to get an older version ( marvel legends ) because the new edition (hasbro's marvel legends) will not be good as the older version . luckly i found a mint condition deadpool and got it at a reasonable price. But it doesnt matter what other people think , it's what you think is best

This. However, Toybiz seemed to have their painting down to a fine art. Hasbro hasn't really caught on yet. The only Hasbro ML figure that actually looks BETTER than any of the Toybiz ones, is Winter Solder, imo.

Well I'd say certain details need to be nitpicked enough so that way they'd improve in the future so that way it can be well done
