Yeah, again, for me, those photos sum up exactly this scenario. Like WTF??? If you aren’t going to look forward and say, “let’s at least get Abomination and Abomb out of the way making new parts for Ch’od,” then at least be painstaking in your effort to serve us this body for the sixth time. Yes, sixth, soon to be eighth once we get the 2.0 of Ch’od. 2 Rhinos, 2 Abominations, and 2 Uliks have been retailed using variations of the mold. Adding details like three fingers, a decent paint app, proper fins, and fixing the damn Juggernaut belt would have been enough for me to celebrate this with a buy.
I had better stop hoping for Hepzibah--I'm not ready for squirrel girl painted with a white stripe on black plastic. |

To all the Marvel Legends fans out there…Has Hasbro ever tweaked a figure before after showing the final product? Or is the Ch’od wave well into the production phase to change some of his features?
Note: If Hasbro could slap some yellow paint were it is need, change the fingers, and the legs, this could be really good figure!

I know we've seen digital renders and hand-painted prototypes at conventions that don't reflect the final product but these images seem like they're too far along to expect any dramatic revisions. They've enacted running changes before like when they first did classic Mysterio and people weren't too thrilled about the green skull illusion under the dome so they started making it a foggy white instead but I don't see them doing that for a BAF.

Yup only running changes from what I remember. The Mysterio head or Psylocke's hair. The Apocalypse wave version first had blavk hair but it was then corrected to purple. Or Shocker. At first he had a Thunderbolts symbol on his waist but it was later removed.

Wow, so Cyclops doesn't come with any effects nor an alternate head without the smoke. Fang comes with nothing. Hell, msot of these figures seem to not come with any accessories. Why are these $25?

This latest disappointment doesn’t necessarily rise to the level of being egregious (reuse is an industry standard) as much as it just smacks of lazy oversight, albeit, with premium pricing. The current scenario feels more like a death by a thousand cuts. Mounting lapses in decision making, steady decline in standards, and increased costs are all conflating to create a love/hate relationship between collectors and Hasbro that, I’m sure, cuts both ways. If the Legends team is going to phone-in efforts like this, maybe it’s time for Hasbro and Marvel to cut their loses and part ways. If there’s a schism at Marvel regarding support for MCU branding over canon representations, which I believe there very well may be, then cut bait and fish another pond. As for Hepzibah, funny you should mention her as she came up on the Legends thread a couple days ago. The usual concerns were raised about which look they’ll settle on – I’d prefer her more modern Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire look to complete what they started with the Polaris from the Warlock wave – but the real question is how well they will execute the creation of this deep cut. Evan Chode from the 80s actually had yellow paint lol
I don’t blame the Legends team, it’s the people making the final decisions that are cutting corners. There is no doubt in my mind, what the fans want is more or less what they want. |

Figures are $25 so when they eventually go on sale you'll think you're getting a good deal.

Lots of complaints about this wave and I’m not surprised given the lack of accessories. Especially for a character like Cyclops. I think it’s time they get rid of BAF altogether. Less people are buying entire waves because the value just isn’t there anymore

I said it elsewhere, but I really do think BAFs are on the way out. They're not very cost effective, and Hasbro doesn't seem able to give them the full attention they need for sculpt and detail. And the market has changed a lot recently, where in the era of action figures out there of anything or anyone, I don't think at this higher price point having a figure only come with some random dude's arm or leg really cuts it anymore.

Wondering if anyone can help me, I’m not a collector of legends, however, I read the shit out of 90’s Generation X and wouldn’t mind having the 90’s team in figure form, is Monet the first in the red uniform that they have released? Also, what are the chances that the recently released Banshee in the blue and yellow will get a single release? It’s close enough to his Gen X look for me but I have no desire for the other two figures in the set. Thanks.

I'm a big fan of 90's GenX too! Strange that they didn't start Chamber in his red uniform. Emma, Husk, Jubilee and Synch should be easy to make with existing bodies/toolings, the hard ones would be Skin, Penance and Mondo to complete the team. |

I'd say not likely, how else would they force you to buy that boxed set?! If they do a single release of Banshee, that will most likely be in his green/yellow. However, that's just my guess. Anything's possible. I'm a big fan of 90's GenX too! Strange that they didn't start Chamber in his red uniform. Hasbro has been making Ulik Ch'od for years now. Maybe they can make Goldballs on this buck and call it the Ulik Goldballs

At the time I loved it, I taped it onto VHS, I was just ten years old when it was released and I was starving for some live action Marvel stuff, and I couldn’t believe they chose something so ‘cool’ as Generation X. It was the same with that made for TV Justice League movie, I taped that onto VHS and watched the hell out of that too

Nope. I was in 8th grade when it aired and I found it to be god awful. Matt Frewer was the movie's only saving grace because he just chewed his scenery.

I actually never knew there was a tv movie of Gen X, I looked it up on IMDB. I guess Chamber, Husk and Penance are too expensive special effects wise to have on the show. Looks like your typical made-for-tv low budget movie.
