This is why I buy every figure I can when a new wave of Marvel Universe hits. I buy every one I find, keep the closest to mint and best paint job out of the bunch for MOC, the second best paint job is opened, and the rest I return to the store I got it from or I trade it online. But that being said. I ususally buy at least 3 of the same figure and in a wave with two variants I spend close to 300$ It's all worth it to have everything I want MOC and open.

Speaking from experience, you have no idea how cool the Pursuit of Cobra line from G.I. Joe was until you opened the package and took the figure out to see what Hasbro turned out, so yeah - open them!

I really like hearing everyone's thoughts on their collections. I think I'm gonna leave them MOC for now, I just really dig the artwork and looks of them in the package. Some day when I win the lottery or start turning tricks, I'll start getting doubles.

I'm personally more of an opener than an MOC collector. The only time I will buy a double of a particular figure is when I really like the character's look in the package as well as opened. My buying doubles of a particular figure is a bit of a rarity though.

If preserving the card-back art is a concern, do what I do. Use a box-cutter with the blade extended just enough that you won't harm yourself, the art or the figure inside.

If you enjoy seeing them in the package and admiring them that way, then don't open them. If you enjoy fiddling/playing with your toys, then open them.

Personally, I open almost all of mine except for certain figures. It's kind of complicated, so I won't go into it here. Regardless, the decision is ultimately up to you.

I've heard that some people keep working after they've won the lottery.

I'd probably still work in IT after I won, too. But I'd probably take a few months off to do a little online shopping.

If I won the lottery I would quit my fucking job soooo fast, call centre work is bullshit! I would litterally demolish a station or take a giant shit on a keyboard then walk out and tell them send me the bill. I may go to school and get a degree or two, but as far as working I would eithe volunteer at organizations I believe in, or do temp work at a dream job. As far as buying toys. I would be on here and ebay buying anything in site. I would of spend like 30k within a day or two. buying hot toys figures, statues, ML, MU, etc.

Time for the blade!! MOC dudes cringe. It hurts to watch, doesn't it.

This is it. The moment of truth. No looking back. Who cares if this Showdown Beast MOC might be worth a whole lot down the road. You do this for the love!! Slice that MOFO up!!

... uh, yeah. Maybe next time.

Hahaha!

I get all my opening tendencies out by opening figures to send loose for people. That way, I don't have open ones, but still get the thrill.
