Special Edition MODOK Magazine & Figure - Marvel Statues, Busts, Prop Replicas Magazine & Lead Figure Collection

Seen this on BBTS, looks awesome, and is slightly less then the going rate on ebay for the ML version, looks nicely painted and sculpted, I'm considering this.

Pretty cool but no articulation kinda kills it for me. You can still find deals in the $30-40 price range on eBay for the BAF Modok.

I could see them releasing some of the BAF marvel legend figure as a gigantic battle pack.

I think they did that with Fin Fang Foom. They painted him red and added some boxers but I'm pretty sure it's the same figure as the BAF.

The old Iron Man 5" MODOK is cheap, fits in perfect with scale and looks great with paint job.

its not. theres some differences if you investigate. quite a few of them

also, they did say they were releasing a modok as a gigantic battles....I just wonder if its the ML BAF mold with a new paintjob or a new one.

I'm not doubting or challenging you or anything,.. was this confirmed, or officially stated by Hasbro? I'm REALLY hoping it is. It would make perfect sense to release him in an MU GB pack, so my fingers are crossed!

..I'm thinking that a MODOK GB set will be a real bitch to find in stores though.

Quite the difference between the stock version and Prem1x's kickass painted version.

According to the comics, MODOK is 12 feet tall. So I would assume the Legends one is more "proper scale". I do like that 5" one a lot more though.

Essentially, he is right though. The upcoming orange Foom (sounds delicious) is the ML BAF Foom with a new head and button and speakers added in.

I don't think you will see ML MODOK repainted and sold by Hasbro as a GB because they've said in the past they don't have all those old Toybiz molds.

ML BAF figure is an awesome add to my collection . but deep down I feel that MU wont reuse that mold . like i heard from SDCC that they dont have the mold from all of Toybiz. so we can only hope

My only issue is usually a complete MODOK goes for 20-40$ +, and then shipping for $15-20, ends up being $60.

I think mu will do a new mold. I'm not sure how big the figure will be though if it will make it in a gigantic pack or 3.75 scale. Time will tell but I do like the baf one.

HA! Hilarious.
Yeah I saw that bad boy at SDCC and I wanna say that Hasbro used the same mold, at least as a base, for the body. I have the BAF Foom in my collection and the details (tail, hands, etc.) are very, very similar.

Awesome repaint!
Maybe make it into MODAM when the bigger version becomes readily available?

One of my favorite throwdowns was between Iron Man, Omega Red and MODAM.

This. This is perfection. Now the BAF is perfect for MODOG though. Who is a by far bigger variation of the MODOK entity. Modok himself though has limbs that are human sized (MU Scale limbs) with a big ass head. So the BAF figure doesn't really exude that with it's much bigger limbs. MODOG though, is just all around enormous, so he doesn't have that same issue.

The height issue of 5'8'' to then 12' isn't clearly explained where the base height starts(with chair, without, full standing, baseline hovering, was that height taken the day he had an afro from short ciruiting himself, etc). The comics have outright said though that his limbs shriveled as his head grew. So the bulk of the height is obviously in his head, while his limbs should be MU sized. This is what makes the Toy Biz IronMan figure one perfect, and the BAF one more towards MODOG.

^^ Actually, the MODOK BAF's limbs are roughly the same length as a MU figure, just a lot thicker than the malnourished bucks. If you pop off MODOK's leg and compare it to an MU figure, it's pretty close.

Someone needs to post comparison photos then to help everyone make the choice they think is best for their collection.
