It's cool. I probably wasn't clear enough anyway.

Back on topic.

I hope they re-release assemblers with elbows and knees.
The sculpts aren't so bad, and the parts swapping is neat. I'm tempted but the lack of knees and elbows minimum kills it completely.

It's a shame too. That starboost armor looks like an epic Pacific Rim Ironman.

And this is the beginning of the end of action figure collecting. Hope you guys aren't addicted too badly because you're going to need a new drug pretty soon.

What started in '77 with Star Wars ends here with the same low quality, non-articulated garbage.

Saw them in person yesterday and can't say my opinion of them has improved all that much. But I am considering the purchase of that War Machine flip-former, simply for the novelty of it and the fact that they worked in the shoulder-mounted Gatling gun into the alt mode by having it simply strapped to the top of the jet.

ALso saw the new USM figures, which I think are worse than the IMA figures.

A wee bit dramatic, don't you think? Less articulation in a couple of toy lines from one manufacturer does not mean the death of the format itself. Star Wars actually increased the amount of articulation over the last few years (for some figures, anyway) and G.I.Joe is still the 3.75" king.

This is an insane amount of hyperbole.

Hyperbole aside, it'll be Marvel Universe and GI Joe from here on out for me.

I guess I should get used to looking at these figures because they will be sitting on store shelves for a long long time.

Which is why the store I work at took a month and half to clear a single box of them at $1 apiece.

Even the 'average shopper' tends to be able to identify a quality product.
