The "Double Protection" Batman variant. Because one layer may not be enough.

He learned that the hard way with Talia.

Note: After poking around the Internet, it looks like many of the ones with the double cowl are from Amazon.

I have one coming from Target and another from Amazon. Hopefully I'll get both versions.

So the Riddler figure
95% looks like the movie

Still

Why a black patch? - A tampo should be able to get a design on the green layer. Maybe it's based on a concept but......they got the rest of it correct, plus the statue they are soon to release.

Side eyes......luckily the goggles hide it.

The inner torso is what bothers me. They chose to design the inner torso so that it had no forward articulation. Why?

That was intentional and no some accident, lack of funds, or whatever. You have to choose to do it.

In addition to the double cowl issue, Amazon's allotment of Battinson also has inverted abdomen pieces.

I found a movie Batman at Target today and bought him. Glad I did, because both that UPS brought, 1 from Amazon and 1 from Target, had the double cowl and inverted stomach armour.

Just had Batman and the Riddler dropped off by Amazon and sure enough, my Batman's got the cowl collar and upside-down torso joint too. He's going back, I guess I'm hunting at Target for another one.

Couldn't you just pop that stomach piece off, turn it around and pop it back in? I would imagine so, right?

Target is giving The Batman its own endcap display. I saw the tags for the movie figures and the Batcycle there, though they haven't gotten stock yet.

If you would be so kind, and if you have the means to do so, could you take a shot of the drifter motorcycle with a NECA Terminator? Or an equivalent in height NECA?

Will do. I do have one, just gotta find it. I cleared the shelves recently for a reset, it's in a staging box somewhere.

So, sorry, but I did not do this. I looked for an hour+ through tubs and bins and boxes for my loose "shelf stuff" box which had all my random figures, that included most of my NECA stuff. Still have not found it. And believe me, that pisses me off :/

Because he expects people to just stick it in one pose like a statue. IT really feels like this latest batch of McFarlane figures is purely meant to be statues, between the side eye and the other various parts skipped like paint on the back of figures and joints missing.

Thanks x 2. And even tho I spice them up, I do think the Batman with mask is legit in real world. And I didn't until I opened him. That's a sleeper.

I don't think the team over there is coming from the statue front for mainline DCM anymore, but it seems like they are still struggling with how to balance articulation with design elements. I also think their articulation is kinda using the same format now, same tech and places, but unique per figure. Sometimes that starting point for cutting it up doesn't work with the sculpt. And I assume they have limited time to get it all done, because they are cranking these things out. So we get some sub-par ones due to all that.

Side eye - as he said design choice. I dig that, as a second head, any time. It does spice up photography, and could work on shelf in some scenarios. But I do not support it if it is the only head in a pack.

Other angle - go with a Figuarts style and offer face "plates" that swap out, without doing full heads. Give us more eye sets.
