Same guy who had elbow pad issues before. Snake recently tipped over on his shelf, and off snapped the end of his SOCOM inside of the suppressor. I was absolutely distraught to say the least, but I'm working on a fix. I was gonna drill out the fragment of the original barrel stuck in the suppressor, then drill a hole in the gun itself and insert a small metal rod of some sort to be a new barrel tip. I know I'll need a pin vise/vice (spelling there?) for the drilling, but I need to know what size rod to get that'll fit in the suppressor. I don't have him with me now, so could anyone give me an approximation on the diameter of Snake's suppressor?

Happens to all of us. It's why my snake and ninja are lying flat down until my stands arrive. The suppressor is just about 4mm in diameter

Thanks a ton, I'll get to fixing this ASAP. I should probably order some stands myself. This cannot and will not happen to the Jungle Fatigues Big Boss I'm ordering this weekend.

Sorry for the double post, but I should ask, should the rods I order be a bit smaller? I'm sure the tip of his SOCOM was just a tad smaller than the diameter of the suppressor. Don't want the fit to be impossibly tight.

You should. The tip of the socom is obviously smaller than the suppressor, so it fits inside. Unless the scocom tip broke off in a really bad way and can't be saved, then using a rod t hold the suppressor on is probably your best option

Yeah, I was gonna go with the rod regardless so I could have the luxury of removing it if I wanted to. Don't really wanna permanently glue it on there. Thanks for the help though. I'll probably grab a 2-3 mm rod. I'll have to see exactly how much smaller the tip appeared to be to begin with.
