The Ninja Turtles originated in, or around 1984. That's when their original comic launched. Their TV show premiered in 1987 or '88. Their toyline, which replaced the dead Heman hit at the same time. Their archie comic, which is based on the cartoon debuted at the same time.

Just because I didn't see Raiders for the first time until the ninties does not make it any less an 80s thing. By your logic Transformers shouldn't apply since it's still ongoing, and the majority of the fans in it today weren't around in the 80s.
Your logic is so flawed it hurts.
TMNT is an iconic 80's property.

I have to agree Turtles are 80s, but the Icon for me was He-Man I have many fond memories of my father taking my brother and I to the video rental place to pick up a movie and it would always be He-Man episodes and the occasional Christmas special on VHS. Speaking of He-Man check this painting out LOL

Yes I do. But this is not an opinion. An opinion is "I think dinosaurs are cool. I think Transformers G1 was one of the worst cartoons in the TF franchise."
Those are opinions.

The TMNT being an 80s property is a hard fact, which I've already shown.

I was more a GI Joe fan growing up than Transformers but my vote still goes with Optimus Prime. Maybe it's the voice, maybe it's the fact that it is a truck that turns into a robot. Somehow that would make me feel more at ease going into battle than with Duke.

A fact Ive never disputed, yet I have explained my point of view. To me its more reasonable. To me. Dont look for trival arguments were there are none sir, or clutter up the thread with pointless bantor. Let an overkilled dog stay dead. The Turtles are on the board. What more do you wish? I'd prefer to have this thread kept open till its conclusion. Please.
