I got a bunch of clearance IM2 toys from BBTS for $1.80 a figure... That's probably the least I've spent, though I did buy like 10 of them.

This is kind of an interesting thread. Shame it's dead...so I thought I'd give it a shot of life.

For a long time, the most I had put down on a particular toy was this guy here, who set me back $100 at the time. For whatever reason, the Part 6 and Part 4 versions of the figure were the most rare of the bunch, and drove heavier prices than his other counterparts. (Although the Freddy Vs. Jason version drives a really high price now-a-days...)

And he was worth every penny....

And then this guy came along...Being both a HUGE G.I.Joe and Transformers fan, I HAD to have him. I found him at a local comic con, and ended up dropping $125 for him at the time, which was a steal then and still is today. Evil bay prices are just ridiculous.

And now...$300 bucks for this guy, who has been delayed twice much to my agony. Soon...SOON!

About $300 for the Hot Toys Superman III "Evil" Superman. Totally worth it. Not only is it one of the best Christopher Reeve collectibles out there, but the darker colors and tougher expression lets it fit on the shelf with any other 1/6th scale superhero based on a more modern design.

At some point in the future my most expensive buy will end up being the Hot Toys Rocket Raccoon and Groot set, assuming you count it as one item. I do, 'cause I'd never own one without the other.

Great question. Toy wise the most I've ever spent was 120 for a complete metal G1 Predaking. I see people are listing more high end collectibles like Hot Toys figures so based on that, the most I've spent was $275 for 89 Batman. However, for higher end collectibles, the most I've spent was $325 for a MIB Master Replicas Full Darth Maul saber with display case.

For one individual figure, I am guessing around 60 bucks. I have ordered a wave of figures, like Guardians of the Galaxy, which would be more as the set. I try not to spend a lot per figure if it can be helped :P

I have 22 Hot Toys so the total on that is pretty high but the most for a single is MSRP for Hot Toys Iron Monger complete with hip cracks.

I've never bought something that's cost more than a game console. Although I put tons and tons into Rock Band over the last 6 years...

As a Hot Toys Collector... my most expensive one was Agent Coulson... as I came into the game late.

Never making that mistake again lol

I really budget myself. The most I've spent is $65 to preorder the NECA Pacific Rim Otachi. Hot Toys look great and have good size, but for me buying those is like saying "well I needed a new microwave, but this figure seems more important right now." The same especially for all those Japanese import toys, yeah some of them look nice and are possibly the only way to have a certain figure, but hot damn they'd drain my wallet.

That's funny because I just bought a new microwave AND 2 new Hot Toys last month. Budgeting is key.

Are you calling me poor?! I suppose I should elaborate, I don't spend a lot on one item when I can spend the same and get 3 or 4 other items (albeit usually smaller). Though I find any value near $200 is a tad ludicrous unless it's the definitive end-all be-all representation of one of my all time favorites.

I suppose a microwave wasn't the greatest example. A better point, which unfortunately happened to me about a couple of months ago, was when my air conditioning broke and I had to pay for two mobile units to keep my ferrets from dying of heat and then pay for the repairs to the main unit, that blew out all toy money for that month and most leisure cash.
I don't know what you spent on the 2 Hot Toys, but if I may just throw numbers, let's pretend it was about $400 for both (~$200 each), I would personally spend it more like some Transformers here, some NECA stuff there, and probably some Marvel to round it out. I greatly admire Hot Toys for their detail and what not, but I prefer buying more smaller figures than one larger figure, hence the most I've spent on any one single item is around $60.

My two most expensive items are the deluxe 2010 Star Wars AT-AT walker and the 2012 TRU exclusive Masterpiece Optimus Prime. The walker I paid full price for ($99.99). Optimus I paid $79.99 for, it was marked $99.99 and I had a 20% coupon. They later bumped the price to $120. It should be my most expensive item, but I got lucky.

I just helped someone spend a LOT on a single 3.75" figure. It would make a 10% down payment on a house!!!! By helped, I mean I located and alerted him to it. I was asked not to reveal, but you could have bought SEVERAL of that 300 Hot Toy. Wasn't my money, but I am happy to help.someone spend theirs!

I can't even say what line it was from, but that guy Jordan from the tele programme TOY HUNTERS was trying to buy it as well.... he lost.

Patience my friend... It'll all be revealed in due time. Believe it or not, that's not the most I've paid for rare figure(s). But yes, Jordan... eat your heart out...

I spent $400 on a carded vintage ESB Fett which I later sold. I figured if there was ever a figure that wouldn't loose value it was that one. That for me was a once in a lifetime purchase. Never doing that again.

The most I've spent on a single item was $265 shipped for MOTUC Castle Grayskull.

One day I'll break down and throw $700 on a USS Flagg.

£230 for the diecast IM3 War Machine - I'll probably never spend that on a figure again.

In terms of Lego, £179 for the Simpsons house.

TFs, probably about £50.
