Well I couldn't really tell what you should buy, but I personally skipped HH and got Leech. I'm just not big on action features like that or even action features in general, although I have to say the 80's commercial for Hurricane Hordak made that vintage figure look pretty neat.

I still don't have a Hordak yet, but I'm only planning to get the original one with the cape and everything.

Don't take my opinion as the "be-all, end-all" of things (wait for other comments), but I'd rather you get Leech as he's a pretty unique figure. HH is a variant mostly for nostalgia's sake and for action feature lovers, but if you're having trouble getting any Hordak, then you might just wanna get this one if you like the character enough. Just something to take note of: I also believe that HH's weapons are interchangeable with other figures (think it was Trap-Jaw & Roboto??).

Well, there's my 2 cents, hopefully some others chime in for you

Leech all the way. The regular Hordak is a great figure. I skipped the Hurricane version.

I came very close to ordering Hurricane Hordak. I remember thinking it looked so cool back in the 80's. At the end of the day, my wallet began crying, so I stuck with just Leech. I expect I will pick up Hurricane Hordak from a toy show or at a future release (if they re-release him) once I save up some more pennies.

I would get both if you like the Evil Hord, but if you don't they are eazy skips. I personally love this Hordak and I'm so so on Leech till I get him in hand this week. Hurricane Hordak will go great with Battle armer He-Man, Skelly , and Faker.

I bet you'll be able to get him on eBay and Amazon for about $5 more than Matty's site in about a month or two.

I agree. If you go on a He-Man dedicated forum you can usualy score almost any MOTUC fig for cost + shipping. Just by hanging out on the Tanks MOTUC page I've picked up a couple characters on the cheap.

Honestly I would be wary about buying Hurricane Hordak. As with all vac-metalized/chrome painted stuff it has a high risk of easy chippage (which , imo, makes any figure look like poop). This was one of the reasons I held off on buying Masterpiece Rodimus for so long , because of the chrome applications on his exhausts. However I think Hasbro did a great job. Mattel on the other hand....well it remains to be seen. This being the first figure in the MOTU Classics line to sport such a finish, I would wait till Ive heard some good reviews before blowing your cash. In the meantime...

Go with Leech!
