Welcome uncanny valley. It makes sense they went with the B type uniforms though for the flexibility of the figures. Still, it'd be interesting to see the original A type uniforms. And yes I did look that up.

Yikes. This headsculpt looks off. Also, what's with his 5 o'clock shadow? I don't remember Picard ever looking that sloppy. Also also, as usual, those softgoods just look terrible (unless your mental image of TNG uniforms is something along the lines of pajamas that are several sizes too big).

The likeness to Patrick Stewart is there and I'm sure people would use this figure too as a stand in for a Professor Xavier figure that we never got from Hot Toys

The face looks too thuggish. I think the lines in his cheeks may be too deep.
Edit, no... It's entirely the eye lids. They are the wrong shape. Bigger issue: No fun in the sun Picard outfit? Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 10-16-2017 at 09:27 PM.. |

The head sculpt looks fine but the body looks way too small/skinny.

Heads too big, and he has a much older look than that uniform represents. It looks like first contact Picard with a TNG uniform.

First shot looks like he forgot to perform the Picard Maneuver.

The headsculpt is actually quite good. In between SDCC 2015 and 2016 they repainted it and made it worse. It used to look really damn good. I think the old pics are in the archive here and out on the web and whatever.
