It's very bare bones for that asking price. They could have had a more elaborate fold out floor and 2nd floor for christ sake. PASS

The payment plan really helps. I just hope shipping is not to high. Who would have thought movie figures and this in the same year! No idea where I will put this but, that is a problem I want. Sold.

The problem with Super7, is that the final toy, never looks anything like the prototype.

It's sad a small company like S7 offers a payment plan but Hasbro demands full upfront payment. They wanted that extra time to acrue them more interest while our money sat in thier account.

Haha, collectors are the worst.

It's three feet tall and FOUR FEET WIDE when opened. So it'll be as tall as the Flagg and as long as the Khetanna. It's nearly twice the size of Matty's Grayskull (which was about 2 x 2). This thing is enormous. I think the only thing that makes it look "plain" (and I don't really agree with that), is that it has so much real estate and stuff is a bit more spread out.

Honestly, I wish it was a bit smaller. I love big playsets and have an entire room for toys, but this won't fit.

If Super 7 were smart, they'd later release the throne and table separately, somewhat recolored...as some folks just really might just want those (Or extras).

Compared to vintage playset, they improved the back side, but the front has a bit less going on. No moving snake-head or jaw on the evil face. The trap door has a long drop but with no net like the original. Break your figures with that fall!

I use the mattel one as a home for my TLS Masters figures- I imagine they would go well with this one as well... and with a payment plan available... I don't know... so much space to take up...

YES! Definitely getting this thing. Expensive, sure. But worth it. The MOTUC Castle Grayskull is a masterpiece and this looks to potentially be even better. Can't wait.

When I first saw it at comic con I was expecting them to ask for $1,000, still not sure I would spend $600 though...

If this were the cartoon Snakemountain and $300... maaaaaaaybe. But this silly pile of chewed bubblegum blobs is an easy pass. I had the original toy decades ago and hated it.

Is this going to have the microphone gimmick? I had the original and that's literally the only thing I remember about it. And with that price tag maybe they're going to add some MP3 functionality to it.

the prototype looks gorgeous and I want it so bad, but the size and price are whats going to hold me back from buying.

Ordered!

Don’t look at the full price, just do a monthly bill for it. Way easier. I really want this,I hope enough of us jump in.

At what point does the ordering process give you the option to select the monthly payment plan option? I got as far as the screen where I enter my credit card info, but I'm not going to click that "pay now" button at the bottom if its suddenly going to charge me the $600 + shipping all at once. I went thru each screen twice and couldn't see anywhere that it gives the payment plan option.

Nope, nothing on the first page or the FAQ screen other that explaining the payment plan option. If there's a place to actually select that you want the plan, it's very well hidden.

Ok...I just went through again. Hit the add to cart button. Next page under checkout it says payment plan.

Yeah, I finally found it. I'm kind of annoyed that they charge an extra $30 fee for using the payment plan. They sure are gouging us every way they can for this set between the $600 base price, the $150 shipping cost, and now an extra $30 just to use the payment plan.

I decided not to order it today after all and just wait awhile since I have until the end of the month. I'm having second thoughts about getting it now. I'm just really annoyed at the moment with Super 7's exorbitant pricing. I'd still like to know how they justify that $600 price for this thing, despite its size. Castle Grayskull was half of that price when it was offered. Is Super7 asking $600 just because they know they can get away with it with enough diehard MOTUC collectors, especially when seeing how much the Grayskull playset is selling for on Ebay now ($600-800 last I looked), which is right in line with what Super7 wants for this thing.

I think it’s the company they use that charges that fee. I used them before. But it’s worth it to have a monthly hit than a knock out punch.

With the podcasts I have heard and just knowing people in the toy industry, they will just break even on this. This is most likely our one and only shot at this.

Plus gray skull was $250 plus $ 50 shipping. 6 years ago. More than double the size of grayskull, inflation, labor costs rising in China and shipping going ever higher, plus this is not Mattel. The loss they took and grayskull can be made up somewhere else. Super7 takes a loss....super7 closes.

BBTS now has this listed for $799.00 . You pay $160 now and the rest when it ships. This may help out some people.

Are they really saying that a minimum # of orders is needed and not telling people what that limit is?
