I can understand why there isn't one now but I still don't know why we were getting love boat and mash figures and noJames bond in the Early 80's Moonraker was designed to compete with Star Wars so why do i not have a moonraker shuttle and Jaws figure?

Starblazers is always one of my answers to this question. We got the shogun warriors but no stablazers bridge. They released one in Japan but it never made it over here.

Probably because it would cost an excessive amount of money to obtain the rights to produce figures based on all the actors and actresses from the Bond films.

I think Farscape deserved a few action figures, considering it was jim Henson and all you'd think that even a cuddly Rigel would have been produced... Defenders of the earth too, awesome cartoon, although these probs came out seperately in different toy lines, although saying that was there ever a Brian blessed fig from Flash Gordon? If not that's gotta be a priority right?

speaking about 90s sci-fi, did Babylon Five have a toyline of any kind? I remember not liking the show at all.

There were Defenders of the Earth toys. Never got any as a kid so i don't know if they were any good.
There were some figures from the 80s Flash Gordon movie. Pretty good detail too, but no Voltan

True, but as the OP said, these are supposed to be movies and TV shows that either didn't have a toyline OR got one that was underwhelming. IMHO, the original A-Team toyline falls into the latter category. YMMV, of course.
I don't know.... I think I have to disagree.

On top of this there were some good 6 inch figures with a bunch of accessories...

I wasn't the first one in this thread to mention a TV series. Regardless, I'll just change my A-Team suggestion to refer to the actual movie. Maybe in the redux, they can have a sub-line with their 80's counterparts (similar to the way Marvel toy lines had movie series and comic series figures).

you would think that the car alone (gullwing De Lorean) would of been a HUGE selling point! Not to mention old/young versions of the characters.

KRULL would be awesome. I would army build the heck out of the Slayers, both the black and white versions and the royal guards from the beginning of the movie.

I would have loved a 3 3/4 line for Flash Gordon. I always wanted figures of Ming's soldiers with the skull looking helmets.

Good call on those 2!

Gladiator would have been a nice line of figures to make.

I agree with a vintage Kenner Style of action figures line for the old Flash Gordon movie. I would also like to see an action figure line from the 1933 King Kong line, and maybe a more articulated line of figures based on all of the Ray Harryhausen movies.

Dredd. Being an R/18 rated film I cannot imagine seeing figures for this film in normal toy stores but I could imagine NECA doing a 7 or 8 inch scale line with Dredd, Anderson and Mama for the first wave and a few of the other judges for the second wave (Kinda like what they did with the Predators from Predator 2 once they finished making the main ones) along with one or two 18" figures.

All 3.75-4'' as GI joe compatible.

Meteor Man! At least the titled hero.
X-Men: DOFP! Future side completely, past sentinels, and past magneto, and mystique. (Wolverine they could just re-release the Hugh Jackman jacketed wolverine, and include his 2 pairs of metal claws, plus a hand pair of bone claws.)
X-Men: First Class! All the good guys and bad guys, plus a removable helmet good side magneto.

Green Hornet. At least Kato masked and unmasked deserved a figure and the car. Seth Rogen as a Green Hornet figure would have been fun to add to my shield shelf though too. The silliness would have made that worth it outright.

Lucy. The upcoming Scarjo film. Her character would be awesome to have in a collection. Swappable heads/hair to convey the different skills in the movie.

Ultraviolet. How Milla Jovovich does not have her own action figure is a travesty. Hasbro, get on that!

Resident Evil. See above. Would also really dig having a movie Wesker, and movie Ada figure.

Fast and the Furious. Okay, really this is only to get a Vin Diesel figure and Michelle Rodriguez figure. I'd accept Michelle Rodriquez's spec-ops uniformed character from Resident Evil too, but the jacketed outfit in Fast 6 is a favorite too. Pitch Black/Riddick for Vin Diesel works too, but it'd need a standard no-goggles version or at least removable goggles.

Expendables would be nice too, but I think GI Joe will eventually cover that anyway as they add more stars to their movies as they progress. That's mostly why I would want that film as joe scale. For the Jet Li figure, Stallone, Statham, etc.

Transporter. See above. Solely for the Statham action figure.

Getaway. Because having a Selena Gomez action figure would make doing X-23 film universe customs easier.

Fear Island. It has one of the Ashmore twins, and it has Lucy Hale. This outright would make X-Men movie customs easier(Iceman!), and would make doing an X-23 film custom easier too.

Suckerpunch. How I forgot this one I do not know. But yes, all of them.

Plus okay. I just reallllllllllly want gi joe scale Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale action figures. Naya Rivera too since that'd make it easier on doing a Kimura movie version custom figure. If they made Selena and Lucy though, I'd buy entire cases because pretty much every female character I'd create from scratch would use either of them as a basis outright. Probably more often with Hale though, but there are at least 2 original figures I could design with Gomez in mind.

As TV shows go. I'd toss PLL in there too, because the Victorian outfit Aria wore in one episode has really been an inspiration for a character I want to create, and Shay Mitchell as well as Hale would make for at least one kick ass duo custom I've been thinking about.

For me when it comes to movies, it's usually a blend of two things.
Movies that have characters that stand out because the movie was that amazing or actors/actresses that standout for always having badass roles. The other aspect is because it's easier to get well sculpted heads for customs. Like I'd love to see Boreaniz, Marters, Acker, Fillion, Gellar, Dushku, and Glau have joe-scale figures because it'd make it easier for Buffy customs. Ditto to the cast of Supernatural.

Expendables did Stallone times 2, Lundgren, Crews and one other I just forget who it was. So yeah Statham and Li would be good...hopefully wave three would include them..we will see
Scarjo Lucy would be killer plus she can cross over as a BW in another set of clothes.

6 inch GI Joes would be a seller much like StarWars black
Personally I really would like to see an Angelina Jolie 6 inch Tomb raider, Mrs Smith figure and Maleficent figure. She's gorgeous in that movie..
