Maybe I am being cheap but 22$ seems a bit much for these.

They're already on sale at a lot of TRU's.

The new ages of Thunder Thor is coming out soon. I would wait for that one.

Theres cheaper solutions for all of them if you don't need a base.
Bleeding Edge Iron Man = Card-release is shelfwarming at my Wal-Mart.
Thor = As Do Boy said, Ages of Thunder will work for that.
Hulk = I'm waiting for the Dec. 2011 -Jan. 2012 release.
Bucky Cap = Captain America release, or even the comic pack with Crossbones. You'd still be saving.

Anyone know when the second wave will come out? Definitely need a hawkeye and a black panther (fingers crossed) for that matter. Also if the black widow looks good we'll talk. What's that sixty bucks? Ok maybe just hawkeye.

They should have waited and used these bases for the Avengers movie figures.

The ones that made me create this thread are still sitting there. Hopefully Hasbro see this as a item specific failure and not a Marvel Universe failure in general.

These wont be a failure at all- the Holidays will see these fly off shelves.
we'll know they are'nt worth the cash, but parents will think them "super cool".

Hopefully the stands get reused with the movie figures later as another store exclusive. Since I plan on buying the movie team anyway, I'd gladly buy these up as a way to get the movie figures instead of single carded. That's a fantastic idea.

I can't see paying an extra $10 just to have a stand that lights up.

For whatever reasons, these things moved pretty well in my area. Maybe I'm not familiar with whatever series it was where Bucky Cap was a transexual, but that is THE worst MU figure ever made... and if you don't agree with that, you're an idiot.

Bucky's just been killed in the comics.
Can't he just feel pretty for his figure at least?

Or if you need another excuse, the mortician screwed up the makeup for the wake/stuffing for the stand.

I am not liking the$20 price tag, but I will probably get baskets and Widow since I missed them at retail. The thor paint apps are very cool. The stands themselves are pretty non functional as a shelf display since they form a circle. Not exactly shelf display friendly.

I'd love to have them, but at $20 each it's just too much. I'm probably in for Widow and Hawkeye, though

I could see paying $12. Still not a price I'm happy with. But makes more sense then $20.

ive seen all four of these things at the store. I looked at all of them pretty close to figure out why they would charge that much. They must think were suckers/whores. A better question: how many of you bought all four...............

I haven't seen these yet and I can't wait to laugh at them when I do. Come Christmas time these things better be $5 like the IM light up bases.

I'd get a full set at like $5 apiece and display my movie avengers on it. But not before then.
