Tonight my lovely wife made a discovery for me at the Smith's by my house:

They'd never carried MU or Spider-Man before, but now had the full new wave and a Venom and Rhino of Spidey. Not too bad, except for the $9.99 price tag!

Heads up, fellow hunters, MU is at grocery stores for the holiday season.

I pay $9.99 for my MU figures all the time. So from my perspective, this is a perfect find.

Nice! One CVS out of like 10 in Albuquerque sells MU, and it's like $15 a figure! Too much for my blood.

That's a pretty good variety for a grocery store. Does it have the whole wave? Are they $10 a piece like mine?

Had the whole wave, some figures sold. Yes, same basic Canadian price of 9.92-9.99 CAD.

I already posted in Mandarin thread but here in San Antonio our HEB grocery stores have a whole aisle dedicated to toys. They carry all the major marvel 3.75" figs. I found the Mandarin from IM2 there. Today I went back and they even had a coupon for buy one marvel action figure get on of equal of lesser value free. I ended up picking up 2 more Mandarins for the price of 1: $7.99.

I've heard of stories of Pharmacies caring MU, ML and such. It may be something to check out. I think reviewer Aetherus69 found a 6' Spider-man line Hobgoblin for a decent price at a pharmacy before.

I've noticed MU at Kroger, HEB, and Wal-Mart neighborhood markets since last summer. They usually double in size around the Christmas holidays.

My local grocery store (Real Canadian Superstore, to be exact) used to sell them for $12.99 too. They finally smartened up and lowered the price back down to $9.99.

Even when they were on sale, they were only a dollar less. Not much of a savings.

Damn, I was skipping the neighborhood markets assuming they didn't sell them. Are they more expensive than Walmart there? I need to know if I need to check these.

I think they are the same or 9.99. I don't have one near me to verify, its hood on my side of town. But generally grocery and drug stores are more as they don't usually buy in as big a bulk as Wal-Mart, Target, etc
