Anyone else dissapointed heavily by this figure? I know he's been out for a while, but I haven't seen him at retail until a few days ago. He's extremly short compared to my other 3 3/4" figs, he can barely stand on his "ice board," he's always looking down due to the way his head/neck is sculpted and his body seems too short compared to his legs. Sorry if I sound really negative but all this figure has going for me is that he's clear plastic. /rant

I haven't seen it in person yet, the main reasons I want to buy it is because it's Iceman and clear plastic. I know how you feel though, the XMO Wolverine figures feel cheap compared to the Marvel Universe figures.

I don't feel that way at all. In what ways do you feel they are cheap Shin? Not asking to contest, just wondering.

I still think Deadpool owns the pack, but there are disappointments like Maverick in the series..

The feel of the plastic. I think the harder plastic used on the MU figures is better. Also, the paint apps don't look as good on the softer plastic of the XMO figures. It makes bad paint apps look worse than they really are.

I've handled my figures from both lines quite a bit, and the MU figures feel higher in quality. There are some disappointments in both lines, like Gambit with lack of wrist and ankle movement, XMO with the aforementioned paint apps, the nearly redundant hip joints on the Hulk and Thing figures, and the rubber skirt that kills hip articulation for Ronin and the Hand ninja.

Overall, both lines are expensive for what they are, but I feel like I am getting more from MU than XMO for the same price.

Hmm... I see your point. I still like XMO better because, like I believe we have talked about on a different thread, I enjoy the hip joints. I don't know what it is, I enjoyed most Joe poseability but I still like XMO better.

The paint apps issue is apparent to me, but I've bought the figures that typically look better.. So I haven't felt the affects yet. On the subject of harder plastic, I always feel like the harder the plastic, the more likely it will break or something. That's my own paranoia.

I like the Ice Man quite a bit. He looks pretty cool and while I hate the hunch of some of the Marvel figs, I can get past it.

While I do prefer the MU line over XMO for a few reasons, I gotta say that there are a few XMO figures I like as well as MU and Iceman is one of them. I admit he's alittle short for the scale but other than that I really like how he's done. I have no problem getting him to stay on his ice. I must say the Cyclops figure is also pretty nice from XMO. Both of these for me rank up with the Deadpool and Logan/Sabretooth pack as really good figures.
