cheers peeps, so here's my current progress on version 2:

in the pic the new one's only difference with the first is the glossier metallic blue and red, sanded down thigh armor and pelvis (notice the lack of those circle things by the sides), new forearms and lack of a star decal. still looking for a replacement decal set, if anybody has one hit me up.

hand actually came from movie Mk3, man if i had an extremis armor i wouldn't dare to mess with it which reminds me, hammerfiles is LONG overdue in my neck of the woods. thanks!

Yea, I was fortunate enough to find TWO extremis iron man at my local toysrus. I scooped them up and haven't seen any others since. Come on, Hasbro!

Got mine @ WalMart but only ever saw two. Isn't Iron Patriot using the Extremis mold?

yup. but i want my extremis to remain extremis, and no IP repaint, that's why i'm basing mine a little on this:



hasbro could have even used this mold for Iron Patriot, the face is distinct enough to merit a villainous scowl:

that head would be tight, not that your's isn't already. Tweak those fins off and repaint, put a star on, and no one could tell the difference really. I see which one I'll use, thanks for the pic.

no problem dude, still they could just pull a GI Joe and slap some figure together using parts from other armors to make it stand out more, i really wish they worked harder on the Iron Patriot Armor and not just settle with a repaint, it's really one of my favorite armors

yup, it's a pic from toyfair 2010, i already saved several on my laptop, including comic iron monger and silver centurion

and nope even if i had ten i would not mess with that mold.

it just looks so good on its own (extremis). that and it really captures the lines of Adi Granov and to a greater degree Salvador Larocca (from Invincible Iron Man), to me Iron Patriot is a bit more blocky and segmented, something that's less stark armor in design, and more of a reverse-engineered armor, like Iron Monger.
