So..after moths of saying how the Mu Sentinel looked waay better than the old BAF Sentinel, I finally saw the MU Sentinel in person!
I held it in my hands and felt it's weight and grimaced at it's lack of articulation and that big sticker on it's chest...

And I bought the BAF Sentinel for $40 from my LCS instead!

Okay, I know, I bitched about the paintjob on this and it's true- it looks like a rusty pilce of junk.
Which is why I plan on repainting it!

unfortunately, because of the hndreds of scratches sculpted on, I cant make this "showroom new" but I'll make it more comic-look colors at least!

Anyone else want in on this- we can tweak our Sentinels as sorta an online group build thing.

I'm not much of a customizer but I'd love to see the BAF if classic colors.

I just dont wanna end up ruining my sentinel.

No worries. I'm a Digital Artist so I do this sort of stuff all the time, not my best work but I only spent about 15 minutes on it. Been meaning to pose my figures and make comic strips. Such a Marvel Nerd! Haha.

I heart customizing and would love to work on a group project. I am currently in Oregon but may be relocating to the bay area in Cali soon if there is anyone there that would want to work on a joint project.

Photoshop usually. In this case I used After Effects because it was easier to generate the cool flare coming off of his chest.

Damn unbelievable, 40 friggin bucks for a BAF and even from your LCS. I wish my LCS had that, heck I'd even drop $70 bones for him if I came across him.

Good choice nonetheless. The MU version does feel nice and heavy, but the BAF looks way super better.

My LCS is the best- tons of loose toys for really crazy (great!) prices. Loose MU figs for $5, which might sound average until you hear that's where I bought my Archangel!
Anyone in So Fla, it's CJ's comics in Fort Lauderdle.
Tons of SW fand GI Joe igs which I love for loose guns and stuff- gotta post pics of my crazy-outfitted AIM badasses.

The BAF Sentinel is a bitch to get because Spider Man was in that wave- and kids dont part with Spidey! Plus, that part is the friggin head! If anyone here has an extra Sentinel head, I'll buy it for making a custom....
yeah. thought not.

I suggest the most recent Firefly as a bonanza of super detailed guns, knives and a spare head with gas mask- that one fig hooked up three Hydra soldiers.

I love me MU, but for actual guns, they suck on ice (AIM's laser pistols are great though!).

Anyone get a (cheap) ML Captain America? I need to make a Super Adaptoid!
Oh, why did the big cap figure have to suck so badly?!? They couldn't have made a decent 9" Cap from the comics with even moderate articulation?!

That's not bad. But I'll still wait before getting any more. I grabbed one just to have one opened since I have sdcc and can't open that blister card..

In all honesty, the ugly version doesn't look that bad out of box and displayed. I wasn't as angry once I had it set up.

$50 and free shipping is pretty nice. I remember when people were worried these would be tough to get because they're army building material. Please.

The black background helps too. It makes the colors pop more I think.. therefore making him not look so cheesy and plain.

I keep seeing people saying this. I think it depends on where you are at. I haven't seen any since the initial release.
