I think toy "street dates" are similar to Jaywalking and Reaver Strike happened to run into the Sgt. Joe Friday of toys.
I was in Target & TRU earlier today and both were dry as a bone, so stock has to be on it's way, but who knows what stock that'll be.

Yeah that guy was pulling your leg. Hasbro doesn't put hard "street dates" on products unless it's tied to a big media promotion, like a new movie being released. Wave 1 for a new line of movie figures? Sure, that will have a street date. 17th wave of a line that's been out for 3 years? Not gonna have a street date. It should just be stocked as it comes into the store.

Shit!
I looked at both Targets and a fluppin Wal-Mart today and found jack- saw an Iceman which I passed on (the XMO version looks better) and bought yet another Steve Rogers for customizing- just to make the effort sorta worthwhile. Got stuck in line behind some old bat wanting to contest the price on everything she was buying...wally world is a nightmare. |

Same here- desperation set in and I said "Fuck it, it's on the way home"- which almost never works out.
All I want from this is Storm and Psylocke! I'll happily pay LCS prices just to avoid my BBTS preorder prices- which are worse and while every OTHER Arker get their Wave 17 preorders already, mine still says "December" and I have zip. WTF? |

Yes, there was much eye-rolling on my part.
It's why I always go shopping with my mp3 player- the longer I waited the louder Iron Maiden was cranked up. I'm deaf now, BTW. |

I went back to my lcs and picked up Sinister/Gambit and a Psylocke. Keep an eye out for bad paint apps on certain figures with both the CP and single figs.

Yeah, BBTS.com really needs to get on that shit. I was under the impression that the premium they charge had to do with getting the figures early before they show up at retail (and other e-tailers). They've been failing at that the last couple waves.

Do they? They were the very first anywhere with the new comic packs- even Diamond had not gotten them before I had them.
BUt the service is spotty- some things get in right away and others months after the wave is in stores and easily found. With this, some Arkers got theirs and others did not- I think if you ordered a case, you got it first. I only ordred the ladies from this. |
