So having become completely enamored with King Shark (my first multiverse BAF) I have begun to wonder who makes the best BAF. Legends or Multiverse figures.
I know this may be like apples and oranges but over all I think the concept is the same...great figures. I have yet to find a BAF that I like as much as this King Shark. Yes articulation is somewhat limited but Warlock had its own issues too like other BAF.
Clayface looks like another home run when it comes out and Steppenwolf looks good even if it isn't for me.
Legends BAF figures look good too in their own way and seem to be improving with future waves.
Having just joined both Multiverse and Legends worlds I would like other's thoughts on these BAF figures. So, what are they?

I can't bring myself to buy 1 or 2 multiverse figures let alone an entire wave.

I would love to get King shark, but I'm not going to waste the money on the figures of that wave.

EBAY! Most of mine are DC because I was collecting DCIH at the time but I am catching up on Marvel. That said, I like the DC figures better. They are more inclined to reuse bucks, like Atom Smasher and Colossal Boy.

CCC.

I felt the exact same way. EXACTLY. Then I went by TRU and Robin had been hanging on the shelf for way too long. I thought I would pick it up and check the alternate King Shark head out. If I wasn't impressed I would take it back. Then Wal-Mart had the Multiverse figures for $16 And I thought I would do the same thing. Bought them, pulled the pieces to check the figure out AND nothing is going back. That King Shark is so awesome. Plus he is on Ebay for a fortune so worse case I can always sell him (not happening). The figures will end up as Christmas presents for the kids.

King shark is definitely the best BAF/CC Legends/Multiverse figure so far (not including Toybiz). Even though my favorite superhero is Hulk, I didn't like the Gladiator Hulk BAF that much. He should have been bigger and angrier looking.

I have 3 DC- Atom Smasher, Valdius and some Superman villian and 2 Marvel New Hulk and Juggernaut. I like both. Wish I had an Apache Chief and King Shark from DC and a few Sentinels from Toy Biz and Apocalypse. Apocalypse is coming next year so I will be able to get him.

I'm also gonna give this one to Legends largely because of Toybiz. They tended to be pretty damn big and were very well painted and sculpted for the "free bonus" reward for completing a wave. Combined with the fact that Hasbro has been getting better at handling BAFs and Multiverse figures still sport some dated articulation makes it almost hands down a win for Legends.

Legends, easily. Mattel has some cool figures, but they are gimped by horribly outdated articulation and little to no accessories.

There is no reason why Rebirth Batman should not have double jointed elbows and knees, ankle rockers, come with some batarangs and bat claw, along with alternates hands and still be $20. They are selling 10 year old bodies for current market prices.

I'm not going to get into the whole Toy Biz vs Hasbro debate, but the three Toy Biz Legends I own suck ass.

You make some good points. The more perspectives I read on this the more aware I am of just how different the figures are. It really is like apples and oranges.
Articulation is worlds apart. Legends likes to re-use molds. Multiverse articulation lacks. It is interesting to see these with a new perspective. I suppose it really comes down to preference.

Multiverse line lacks the POA that TB/Hasbro have. Their figures just look cheaply made. I loved the DCUC line that the 4HM sculpted, yes they were all cookie cutter bodies but they sported the right amount of articulation and the paint jobs and accessories were awesome. That is the greatest DC verse line ever! The DCUC BAFs were all great as well.

Legends all the way.

I collected DCU but I can't stand Multiverse, especially the movie figures.... horrible. Hate the CW tv show figures too.

DC Collectibles, Mezco for my DC stuff from now on for comic figures. I hate the new DC Film Universe though, big pass on any of those.

Other than the Mattel RC Justice League Batmobile for 250$, I'm done with Mattel, hopefully forever.

Good god, I saw the Flash two pack today at Target that comes with N52 Flash and Movie Flash, and Mattel couldn't even bother to actually put the Flash body with the sculpted chest emblem into the pack, it's a painted on emblem.
