Dang, I was waiting for the trenchcoat version, but at $130 + shipping, the regular version will do just fine. Has there been any word on the one with the white web gear?

At some point, Mezco is going to price themselves out of a market they themselves created. Literally every new set of releases has seen the price increase substantially. Now standard releases are $80 with Deluxe Editions at $130? For a 6" figure? It's just overkill.

That is inaccurate. Standard Marvel figures (like this yellow DD) are $80. Standard DC figures are $75. Hannah Barbara, Universal Monsters, and Star Trek are $70. The price difference is mainly in the license. They started with older/less sought-after licenses that cost them less.

Sure, this deluxe Punisher is more, but he's coming with SO MUCH. Their con exclusives were a little high, but those are limited and either had cool features (light-up eyes and metal pieces for armored Batman) or special packaging (round shield tin).

Personally, I'd rather spend $130 on a deluxe version of a character instead of buying 2-3 different variations of that character at $70-80 each. I'm praying that they give this deluxe treatment to Green Lantern when they do him! Can you imagine all the construct/effect pieces they could do? Just go look at Space Ghost and imagine them doing Green Lantern. Oh, man!

As for shipping, order from Entertainment Earth. They have almost all of Mezco's figures and most have free shipping.

The wildly inconsistent pricing is one of my biggest issues with these. The rising cost of these are going to start getting into the realm of 1/6 scale prices. For a 6" figure, I could never justify $80, let alone $130. As it is, 90% of all accessories I get with figures end up in a baggie, packed away. And that's with $18 - $25 figures. I don't need a bunch of accessories that simply drive the price up, just for the sake of driving the price up.

Do they look good? For the most part, yeah. Am I going to spend 4-6x the price of a normal 6" to 7" scale figure? No, no I'm not. Especially now with likes of DC Collectibles producing non-clothed DC Movie figures that look impressive enough at the $40 - $50 range.

Can i just buy the guns for like $30? That figure is sick but i can't justify the price. Maybe they will do a few different ones with less stuff? Makes me worried for deadpool

Here's what you need to keep in mind my friend. These action figures are priced exactly how they should be. You are saying they should be priced less so more people will buy them? Those already exist, they are called marvel legends. THESE however, are deluxe versions of THOSE for the most part. They have $80 or in some cases $130 of extra work that goes into them. As far as the extra accessories go, if you don't utilize them then no, these figures aren't for you, no matter the price. What you get from these figures that you will NEVER get from a cheaper toy line - QUALITY!

Food for thought from a 25 year action figure collector... I have bought maybe 5 different punisher figures over the years adding up to around $100 (about $20 each). Now for me personally and others like me, these mezco are the definitive action figures. I'll gladly sell or gladly not have bought the other $100 worth of punisher figures if I buy or had bought this one instead.

In the end, the price isn't the problem, people not knowing how to budget is the problem

Budgeting has never been my problem. If there's a figure I'm after, being able to afford it is usually the least of my concerns. As someone who owns collectibles ranging from 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures, many 6" - 7" figures, statues, busts, Transformers and much more, I know what I'm willing to pay and what my threshold is for a specific size class. If you're willing to spend $130 on the release, more power to you. That's why they're making them.

It's 1 year & 9 months later and the deluxe Punisher is going for $700-$800 online! Best $130 I ever spent! They may seem pricey but you are getting a premium product & it seems as if most of the one 12's hold their value or go up in many cases. There's nothing wrong with the $20 figures,I own several. But , if you can afford it, Mezco offers the best 6" action figures money can buy. Nothing is perfect but, Mezco has gotten closer to that then anyone else IMHO.
