Neca already stated that this version was only possible as a promotional item for the blu set and not as a retail item sold by itself. I'm actually surprised that this wasn't going for more.

So happy this is coming out btw, the Mattel version turned out to be such a dud and i have to say the nes version is quite beautiful even with the wonky colors...

Btw, anyone else noticed that they used the 18 inch version on the back of the card? What's even more interesting is that the figure used on the back of the card for the original movie figure was a super powers batman painted up in movie colors. Impressively clever of neca if that was done on purpose..

Well, it's the closest thing we've ever had to a 6inch scale Keaton Batman, for one!

And it actually looks like Michael Keaton as Batman, I'm sure if DCC or Mattel ever made one it wouldn't look quite right (like how the Mattel multiverse figure looks like Rob Schneider). There's a good level of hype for this figure (maybe a bit much) but I am not gonna get this personally because it's not my favorite Batman suit ever and I don't collect Batman enough to want more than a few good representations.

They've said on Twitter that there's a possibility of stores like Target or Toys R Us getting this item later on, but I wouldn't put much hope towards it.

Right now, the only way to get this set is via the Ebay listing. But it is possible the set could make its way somewhere else. WB Shop, Amazon, etc. No official word yet and I'll post up any news that I come across.

that, and neca had originally thought they'd never be able to release it in its true colors.. well.. they seem to have tried everything they could, and quickly found a way.. which is pretty cool in my book.

i can't wait for it.. i own the NES version.. which is cool, i really like odd looking batman figures, so it does have a spot in my collection.. but the normal color looks fantastic. i mean, this is the version a lot of kids grew up with. and since then, we haven't gotten a solid 6"-7" version of this suit.

Great news, as I totally missed out. I don't have the movie on Blu-ray, so this seems like a good option for me there as well. Let's hope that TRU actually gets 'em in.

true but, I'm sure there will be bitching and moaning if it's the other version with the ebay pre orders and not the diamond luxe. personally, i don't care either way since I'm just there for the figure, the movie is just a bonus.

Thanks for the heads up. Snagged a pre order one along with a NECA Retro NES Jason figure for the free shipping. I'll be looking to pick one up in the store too.

NECA has been on a roll lately. Minus that whole Rocket Raccoon thing. Kudos to them for finding a clever way to get this figure out in this scale. Saved me from having to wait on Mattel, and more than likely be disappointed.

The 18 inch version of this figure is awesome,and I hear the Nes version is too. Can't wait.

Looks like it presold out again. I have one on order, cannot wait to get it in hand. I've been hoping for this to be made by Mattel or DCD for years, NECA to the rescue again.

Of the four TRUs near me, one said they got six of them last week and sold out already. The other three had no idea what I was talking about.
