NECA makes some really great horror figures. I wish they could've picked up the license for It. Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise would be so fantastic.

Great pics! Honestly, even if people don't like the movie, the figures are awesome! It's a rarity to get a new monster from the Alien Movies. I applaud Ridley Scott for giving us something a little outside of the box with these Alien prequels. I really like the little Neomorph that comes with the accessory pack. Not sure what he is called, but he looks like a shrunken down version of the Neomorph. The proportions aren't all lumpy. He's almost cute |

				 | Quote: Also not a fan of the more biological look of the aliens in this movie (as opposed to bio-mechanical), but NECA's figures are all spot-on and really well-done. No complaints there. |

I got the new xenomorph because it looks close enough to the classic and it is a well done toy but the neomorphs are a pass. While I guess they were creepy enough in the movie and I applaud the effort to spin out something new they just weren't in the movie enough to justify me purchasing one in full toy form. Since Covenant came out on digital I've finally seen it and like many my feelings are pretty much meh, there were a few okay creepy moments but nothing genuinely scary and while character decisions weren't nearly as stupid as they were in Prometheus there were still some real headscratchers.

You mean when that one guy's wife basically re-enacted the "Nordberg on the boat" scene from The Naked Gun and blew up the ship she was on? That scene was hilarious.

That borderline slapstick routine there and then SPOILERS the fact that Billy Crudup's character just saw David making friends with the neomorph that just butchered one of his crew before he shot it to death which clearly angered David BUT then he had no reserves about following David into his creepy dungeon lair. END SPOILERS

Guess I'm in the minority since I enjoyed Covenant a lot. Though outside of the Kenner toys and Aliens I've never really cared about the Alien franchise all that much so maybe I just have lower standards. Predator on the other hand...well I'll just say that the new movie better not suck. Regardless the figures look great. Definitely want to get a Neomorph. |

Ridley Scott is my fav Director, but sux what he did to the Xenomorph IMO. The original is one of the most iconic bada** looking creatures ever and then in Covenant he turned them into little Pan's Labyrinth Silent Hill looking monstrosities.

While I don't know that Scott is personally responsible there is no arguing that the creature design in Covenant feels dumbed-down. I wouldn't draw in Pan's Labyrinth connections (maybe Pale Man but that's it) but the neomorphs do have passing similarities to some SH monsters like the numb bodies from SH3.
