Nice to see them doing some of the less iconic, but still cool stuff from the series.

I don't recall, why didn't they do a Vasquez figure?

They don't have her likeness rights, unless they do and they're hiding her as a surprise. I only bring up this option because they said we will be getting a Smart Gunner soon-ish.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, with the internet being the source of misinformation that it is, I've heard both that Jenette Goldstein DOES and DOESN'T want her likeness used for a figure. I swear I've heard that Randy said that she had no interest.

However, straight from Jenette's Twitter account comes the real deal, and it seems that she'd be cool with it if approached: https://twitter.com/jenettebras/stat...04473041862657

I know her likeness doesn't come with the movie rights, that's been the main obstacle. I don't know anything about how she feels about the matter but I'm sure fans are craving a Vasquez figure. There are a number of non-film options for a smart gunner toy but she or Drake would be ideal.

There have been a few occasions (I think) where Randy has been coy about something so it would be a surprise when it was revealed.

One example of that would be with their recent Commando figure. I had asked on Twitter if one was possible and his response was something to the effect of, "We don't have the licence and it's not popular enough."

Then, like a month or two later came the official announcement. When I asked him what was up, he said - you guessed it - "I was being coy."

IMO, good sculpts of Vasquez and Drake would be 'Must-Haves.' I can just picture them standing back-to-back in my display. Yeah, baby, YEAH!

It would be cool, but we'd have a LONG way to go, considering they only officially gave us Hicks and Hudson. (Windrix was a tribute and charity figure dedicated to a family member on NECA's staff who passed away.)

I love 'ALIEN 3' especially the BluRay extended edition; and that APE suit figure is the bomb! This looks like it's going be another terrific release from NECA.

He is escorting Bishop II into the building at the end of Alien 3 and asks "88", "Where is Lt. Ripley?" I really hope they make Dillon but more than likely we will get Bishop II to go with these guards.

85... but yes, you are otherwise correct.

These heavy clad guys escort Bishop II into the smelter at the end of the movie. Presumably their All Purpose Environmental gear will be enough to protect against attacks from the Alien that's loose and running around the facility (Acid blood, head bite, facehugger...)

EDit:

This is how they appear in the movie:

Will that thing's elbows even bend more than 10 degrees? That joint looks tight.

And every time I see that character I just see a dude in an anti-dog bite suit.

Or and anti-dog alien bite suit.

Quite possibly. The Nostromo space suit figures can move their elbows a decent amount and then this guy could have the added benefit of softer plastic used on the bicep around the joint. It wouldn't be the first time a NECA figure has looked limited but turned out to be fine. We'll see.

I shouldn't be surprised since so much of Dead Space is inspired by the Alien series(and the Thing and Event Horizon of course), but I didn't realize the cold environment suits from Dead Space 3 were so clearly based on this specific suit. Very cool.

That was supposed to be human Weyland in that movie I thought.

AvP was supposed to made him be alive at a different time.

He claims to be human but when he is hit and bleeds it seems to have no effect on him whatsoever, very not human of him. There's no definitive proof either way whether or not the Bishop at the end of Alien 3 was or wasn't an android but including AVP into the mythos certainly leans towards the android option.

It's been confirmed by the production that Bishop II is human, but I like to pretend he is an Advanced Model Droid.
