My sympathies to my brothers and sisters up in the Great White North. I hope you get access to these soon.

It's reassuring NECA's QC is on the right track with these new figures. I was getting worried with all the popped joints and missing parts I read about on Twitter with the Broken Tusk/Machiko wave
Yeah, I'm genuinely excited as hell that the AvP figures are FINALLY being released, as this is my favorite arcade game ever and it's like a friggin' dream come true that we're getting a whole line based on it. I can't wait for the Aliens and Linn/Dutch to hit, but I'm honestly a little relieved that they staggered the releases to give my wallet a break.

I'm even planning on going so far as to designate an entire shelf just for the AvP figures and maybe even making a dio to replicate the backgrounds from one of the game levels, kinda like the dio NECA made when they were showing these figures off at conventions.

As for the Broken Tusk/Machiko wave, the only issue I saw was with Machiko. I managed to avoid this problem, but in general the plastic on her double elbow joints is VERY thin, and I've seen more than one at retail that come with splits/tears in the plastic right around the pegs. Like I said, mine is fine, but you've just gotta be super gentle when posing her elbows.

That likeness to Schwarzenegger is terrible. Is he supposed to look like that? And that arm looks topheavy.

There isn't supposed to be a likeness to Arnold. This is more like a realistic take on the video game character via retooled Neca Arnold parts. I think they look great but still wish they stayed closer to the crazy video game proportions for Dutch.

These are both Androids, so it's not meant to be Predator Dutch. More like a representation of that character in the future and since it's based on the video game, they just went with that version's likeness which didn't look like Arnold.

I didn't expect the production samples to look better than the prototypes. I'm so hype for these two!!!

I was going to say the same thing...this is a rare instance where the production samples blow away the early hand-painted prototype figures. I'm so happy about this, as I had some issues with the original pics of Linn and Dutch that have been completely addressed with these new shots. I can't wait!!!

But...they're due second quarter now? Delayed AGAIN? Fucking shit.

Not that this is any indicator of anything, but BBTS still has them listed as January.

That said, if it's a few more months then so be it. I've been waiting since the 90's for these; I can wait a few more months.

Seriously. I consider it a legit miracle that I'm finally getting an entire AVP figure line. I must have done something right in a previous life.

For those of you that are worried that Dutch's huge robotic arm will screw up his balance, I have NECA's recently-released released Power Arm Terminator (which is a very similar style of figure), and it stands 100% perfectly fine. I'm sure there will be no problems with Dutch.

Or just Kerrigan at all. She was pretty easily the top of my wishlist for their HotS line before it got canned.

Can't wait for these. Just got the predators and they're awesome. Hopefully NECA does another wave or two. Would love to see the Royal Guard.

Nice!

I have them all in hand as well. But I am pushing that gallery back a bit as I don't know when I'll have time to shoot. Doing 5 new figures, plus adding in the 3 Predators, is going to take a long, long time to shoot and edit.

Sounds epic! I bet it'll be worth the effort/wait.

BTW, I assume you're going to use the Extreme Sets Aliens-style background (Sector 09), right? I'm seriously considering to pick that set up myself to display the AvP figures in...if I can find the room, lol.

*EDIT* Dammit, Extreme Sets is sold out of the Sector 09 background, but their upcoming Sector 07 background might work just as well: https://extreme-sets.com/collections...pop-up-diorama

I'm deciding between that or maybe getting a printout or two done. I have a few things ahead of them on the review schedule, so I have a few days to decide. The Sector 09 backdrop does come i nhandy for these though.

If you need an alternate, I'd also recommend the Level 06 backdrop. It looks just like a LV426 facility corridor.

Even better! The only thing missing are some crates, but I'm sure I could find a substitute for them easily enough.

Thanks for the heads-up, Joe!
